• Mark Vientos hits walkoff homer in 11th
Mark Vientos walked it off with a two-run homer in the bottom of the 11th as the Mets beat the Cardinals 4-2 on Sunday.

Advice: Harrison Bader had previously tied the game with a single. Vientos entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Brett Baty against lefty Matthew Liberatore in the ninth and singled. He then remained in to play third base and, surprisingly, got another crack at Liberatore in the 11th. With Vientos going 3-for-4 so far in what was supposed to be a brief stay with the Mets, one wonders if the Mets might send Baty down and give Vientos a real chance at the third. It’d be a downgrade defensively, but the Mets would have Joey Wendle available to take over late in games. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Nolan Arenado goes 0-for-5 in loss to Mets
Nolan Arenado finished 0-for-5 in the loss to the Mets on Sunday, snapping a 25-game on-base streak.

Advice: Arenado struck out once and failed to hit a ball hard in his other four attempts. Up with one out and a man on third in the top of the 11th, he hit a 200-foot fly that turned into a double play because Willson Contreras forgot how many outs there were. Arenado has just one homer this year. His hard-hit rate is only 27%. He’s doing what he can with a .271 average and a .328 OBP, but the power just isn’t there right now. • Nevin has two hits, HR in win over Orioles
Tyler Nevin went 2-for-5 with a home run in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: The A’s were roundly criticized for deciding to play Nevin over Esteury Ruiz; however, Nevin is hitting .286/.342/.400 during his time in Oakland with two home runs and six RBI. His homer was a no-doubter, leaving the bat at 105.7 mph and traveling 407 feet. He’s hitting near the top of the A’s lineup and should be added in AL-only leagues while he’s swinging the bat like this. He can be left on the wire in most other formats for now. • Austin Riley has game-winning hit on Sunday
Austin Riley went 2-for-4 with a game-winning single in a win over the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Riley thought he had a game-winning home run off Emmanuel Clase earlier in the series only to have the ball caught at the warning track, but he left no doubt about this one with a laser of a line drive up the middle to drive in Ronald Acuna Jr., who was the ghost runner to start the 10th inning. That was Riley’s 14th RBI of the season, but the third baseman is hitting just .234/.311/.383 so far. He should find himself in a hot stretch in short order to bring that line back to his normal dominance. Rotoworld 49 minutes ago

  • Isaac Paredes goes 2-for-4, hits seventh homer
Isaac Paredes finished 2-for-4 with a homer versus the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Paredes is the one holdover in the Rays lineup who hasn’t been hurt or a disappointment. The homer today was his seventh. No one else on the squad has more than three. Rotoworld 52 minutes ago

  • Christopher Morel returns to Cubs lineup on Sunday
Christopher Morel (hip, elbow) returned to the Cubs’ starting lineup on Sunday.

Advice: Morel was pulled from Saturday’s game after colliding with teammate Alexander Canario in the outfield, but aside from being a bit banged up he’s good to go. Morel is starting at the hot corner and batting cleanup against Tanner Houck and the Red Sox on Sunday night. On the season, the 24-year-old slugger is hitting .219/.296/.365 with three homers, 12 RBI and one stolen base through 26 games. Rotoworld 52 minutes ago

  • Sits with illness
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Westburg was unavailable against the A's on Sunday due to a stomach bug, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The illness brought an end to a streak of 16 straight starts for Westburg, who has a .304/.360/.543 slash line through 25 games this season. The 25-year-old should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener versus the Yankees. Rotowire.com 52 minutes ago

  • Maikel Garcia picks up hit in loss
Maikel Garcia went 1-for-4 with a double in loss to the Tigers.

Advice: It wasn’t a tremendous performance from Garcia, but the Royals had just four hits on the day. The double gave Garcia a hit in eight of his last 10 games to up his slash line to .223/.276/.384. If he was dropped after his cold stretch, you should be adding him because the 24-year-old remains a talented hitter who will play every day in Kansas City. Rotoworld Today, 1:46 pm

  • Good to go Sunday
Morel (hip) is starting at third base and batting cleanup Sunday against the Red Sox.

Advice: The 24-year-old collided with Alexander Canario after making a running catch in the outfield Saturday but is apparently no worse for wear. Morel had a 1-for-32 slump over nine contests in mid-May, but his bat has come alive over his past six games with a .781 OPS. Rotowire.com Today, 1:34 pm
