Jose Berrios punches out 10 in no-decision
Jose Berrios piled up 10 strikeouts over six innings of four-run baseball in a no-decision against the Mariners on Sunday afternoon in Seattle.
Advice: Overall, Berrios scattered seven hits on the afternoon while issuing one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Victor Robles launching a solo homer in the third inning and Mitch Garver crushing a three-run shot in the fifth. Berrios got 13 whiffs on 98 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He now holds a 3.76 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and an 87/29 K/BB ratio over 115 innings through his first 19 starts on the season. He’ll toe the slab against the Diamondbacks his next time out in Arizona on Saturday night.
