    • Amed Rosario suffers facial lacerations on Saturday
Amed Rosario suffered facial lacerations when he was hit in the face by a 99.6-mph fastball during Saturday’s game against the Pirates.

Advice: It sounds like the 28-year-old infielder was extremely fortunate to have avoided any broken bones in a terrifying situation on Saturday afternoon. It’s unclear if Rosario is going to require a trip to the injured list or will miss any time with the injury, but it’s incredibly encouraging to hear the early diagnosis. Rotoworld Today, 2:59 pm

    • Has facial lacerations
Rosario has facial lacerations stemming from being hit by a pitch during Saturday's game against the Pirates and there's optimism that he avoided any fractures, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Rosario was removed from Saturday's game in the first inning after being struck in the face by a 99 mile-per-hour pitch by Jared Jones. While he did sustain cuts on his face from the incident, initial reports about the injury seem optimistic and could've avoided any bone breaks. Rotowire.com Today, 2:23 pm

    • Lifted after HBP
Rosario was in the face by a pitch during the first inning of Saturday's game against the Pirates and was removed from the contest, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Richie Palacios entered the game as a pinch runner following the hit-by-pitch, removing Rosario from the contest. More information regarding the severity of Rosario's injury should come postgame. Rotowire.com Today, 1:29 pm

    • Amed Rosario (face) leaves game after hit by pitch
Amed Rosario was removed from Saturday’s game against the Pirates in the first inning after taking a 100-mph fastball from Jared Jones off of his face.

Advice: Yikes. Fortunately, Rosario was able to walk off the field under his own power. It’s unclear where exactly the pitch clipped him on the left side of the face, or if it glanced off of the ear flap on his helmet first. Either way, he’ll head for further evaluation to determine the extent of the damage. The Rays should have an update on his status as soon as one becomes available. Rotoworld Today, 1:22 pm

    • Sitting Saturday
Vientos isn't in the Mets' lineup Saturday against the Cubs.

Advice: Vientos will get a day to regroup Saturday after going 0-for-9 with three strikeouts over his last two games. Jose Iglesias will get the nod at the hot corner instead while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 8:25 am

    • Continues power surge
Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Lewis homered for the fifth time in his last six games, taking Joey Estes deep in the sixth inning. With 10 homers, 14 RBI and 15 runs scored over just 16 contests this season, Lewis has been hugely productive when he hasn't been on the injured list. He won't keep up that homer pace, but as long as he stays healthy he should remain a fantasy asset. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:35 pm

    • Royce Lewis hits 10th homer in 16th game
Royce Lewis homered and went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.

Advice: Incredible. That’s Lewis’s 10th homer of the season, and it comes in just the 10th game of the season for the 25-year-old. He didn’t pick up any other hits and struck out twice, but it’s hard to care. What Lewis is doing right now is spectacular. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:09 pm

    • Royce Lewis homers again versus Tampa Bay
Royce Lewis homered and walked twice against the Twins on Thursday.

Advice: Of course he homered. That’s already the ninth homer of the season for Lewis; a solid number for a first half of season, but even more impressive when you remember he’s only played 15 games. The 2017 first-overall pick has been remarkable when healthy enough to play, and his 2024 slash is a scorching .385/.459/.942. That’s obviously not sustainable, but he has the talent to be an elite fantasy player as long as he can stay on the field. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:28 pm

    • Homers again Wednesday
Lewis went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in an extra-inning loss to the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: Lewis racked up three of the Twins' nine hits and accounted for their final run of the contest with a solo shot to left field in the fifth inning. The 25-year-old third baseman continues to swing a potent bat, as he's gone deep eight times across just 57 plate appearances this season. He doesn't have nearly enough plate appearances to qualify, but Lewis' .848 slugging percentage on the season would lead MLB by a wide margin if he did. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:15 pm
