    • Not playing in All-Star Game
Correa (heel) was removed Monday from the American League All-Star Game roster and was replaced by the Rangers' Corey Seager, the Associated Press reports.

Advice: Though Correa is still expected to attend All-Star festivities in Arlington, Texas this week, his removal from the roster comes as little surprise after he missed the Twins' final two games before the break due to plantar fasciitis in his right heel. Dan Hayes of The Athletic relays that Correa's latest case of plantar fasciitis isn't as severe as his bout with the injury to his left foot during 2023 season, but it's not yet clear whether Correa will be back in action when the Twins return to action Saturday versus the Brewers. • Out of All-Star Game with thumb injury
Arraez will attend All-Star festivities in Texas but won't play for the National League in Tuesday's game due to a jammed left thumb, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Advice: Arraez first hurt the thumb while sliding into third base June 25. He has played in all but two of San Diego's games since then, most recently sitting out Sunday's 6-3 loss to Atlanta. While Arraez has mostly been able to remain in the lineup despite the injury, he admitted that the thumb hurts "a lot" when he swings and catches the ball. The issue probably won't be anything that causes him to miss much, if any, additional time in games that count, but he'll use the All-Star break to rest the jammed thumb rather than risking further injury in the exhibition contest. • Replaced on All-Star roster
Helsley was replaced Monday on the National League All-Star Game roster with Nationals reliever Kyle Finnegan.

Advice: Per Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Helsley said that he wasn't likely to pitch in Tuesday's All-Star Game and instead wished to get rest over the All-Star break. The 29-year-old closer confirmed he was healthy and is merely monitoring his workload, having already appeared in 41 games and thrown 42 innings this season. Helsley's career high in appearances is 54, and he hasn't pitched more than 64.2 innings in any individual season. Rotowire.com Monday, 2:46 pm

    • Helsley scratched, Finnegan added to NL All-Stars
Ryan Helsley has been scratched from the NL All-Star roster and will be replaced by Kyle Finnegan.

Advice: No immediate reason was given for Helsley’s removal. He had a busy first half, but considering that he’s pitched just once in the last 10 days, he’s pretty rested at the moment. It’s the first All-Star nod for Finnegan, who has a 2.45 ERA and 25 saves as the Nationals’ closer. Rotoworld Monday, 2:26 pm

    • Clubs homer in win
Santander went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a triple in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Santander is 13-for-46 (.283) with five extra-base hits and three RBI over 12 contests in July. It was always reasonable to expect that he'd take a step back in the power department after slugging 13 homers in June. For the season, the outfielder is slashing .237/.301/.503 with 24 long balls, 58 RBI, 49 runs scored, 16 doubles and two triples over 91 games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:54 pm

    • Plays catch Saturday
Turnbull (lat) was cleared to resume playing catch Saturday at the Phillies' facility in Clearwater, Fla., MLB.com reports.

Advice: Turnbull looks to be trending positively in his recovery from the strained right lat he sustained June 26, but he still has several checkpoints to hit in the rehab process before making his return from the 15-day injured list. Phillies manager Rob Thomson previously said that Turnbull was likely facing a 6-to-8-week recovery timeline, so the right-hander shouldn't be expected back from the IL until middle or late August. • Luis Arraez (thumb) won’t play in All-Star Game
Luis Arraez (thumb) will not participate in the All-Star Game next week.

Advice: The 27-year-old second baseman said that it was a tough decision to opt out, but that he felt his jammed left thumb needed the rest. Expect the National League to name a replacement to the squad in the upcoming days. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:20 pm

    • Turner homers in loss for Phillies
Trea Turner went 2-for-2 with a solo home run in a loss to the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Turner was removed from the game early with the Phillies getting absolutely destroyed, but he is fully healthy heading into the break. In fact, Turner is more than just healthy, homering in eight of his last 12 games. He may have only appeared in 57 games so far this season, but the production has been elite over those games. • Getting breather Sunday
Arraez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: After rapping out three hits in Saturday's 4-0 win to break out of a 1-for-15 funk over his previous four starts, Arraez will head to the bench for the series finale and the final game before the All-Star break. Jurickson Profar will take over as the Padres' leadoff hitter in place of Arraez, who had started in each of the Friars' last 13 contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:57 pm
