    • Bailey Ober hurls complete game with 10 strikeouts
Bailey Ober threw all nine innings while allowing just two runs with 10 strikeouts in a 10-2 rout for the Twins over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Ober gave up a pair of solo homers, and outside of those roundtrippers the 28-year-old was brilliant. He didn’t walk anyone, and even with 10 strikeouts, the right-hander needed only 89 pitches for the complete game. The A’s offense is ever-so-beatable, but credit Ober for another fantastic pitching performance against Oakland. He’s lined up to face the Mariners in Seattle on Friday. • Takes blown save, loss
Duran (3-3) allowed two runs on two hits and struck out one over one inning Friday, taking the loss and a blown save versus the Athletics.

Advice: Duran served up a two-run home run to Shea Langeliers after being called upon to protect a 5-4 lead in the eighth inning. This was Duran's first blown save of the year -- he's converted 11 saves and added four holds over 24 appearances. The closer has a 3.91 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 21:8 K:BB through 23 innings. • Clean inning for save
Miller struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 6-5 win over the Twins.

Advice: Shea Langeliers put the Athletics ahead in the eighth inning, and Miller was able to slam the door in the ninth. He hasn't been charged with a run over his last 4.2 innings while posting a 5:2 K:BB in that span. The closer is up to 14 saves with a 2.08 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 60:13 K:BB over 34.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:15 pm

    • Jhoan Duran blows save in eighth against A’s
Jhoan Duran blew a save while allowing two runs and also picked up a loss to the A’s on Friday.

Advice: Duran has lost three games in 2024, but this was technically his first blown save of the year. The right-hander came in during the eighth, but gave up a hit to Daz Cameron and then a two-run blast to Shea Langeliers. A disappointing effort for fantasy teams and the Twins, but Duran should still be counted on going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:09 pm
    • Mason Miller needs just seven pitches for save
Mason Miller struck out one in a clean ninth to get a save against the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Miller “only” picked up one strikeout, but he also needed just seven pitches to get through the outing with five of those landing for strikes. The 25-year-old has locked down 14 saves for the A’s in 2024, and his ERA is a very healthy 2.08. The future is incredibly bright for Miller as long as he can stay on the field, but this version is pretty darn good, too. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:09 pm

    • Lackluster start in Colorado
Herz allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits over 3.2 innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out five during a win over the Rockies.

Advice: All four runs against Herz came on three homers as he stumbled in his first career appearance at Coors Field. Entering Friday's start, he'd given up only one long ball through 14.1 innings to begin his MLB tenure. Herz fired a 13-strikeout quality start against Miami on June 15 but has totaled just 12 innings in his other three outings. He's sporting a 4.50 ERA with a strong 26:5 K:BB through 18 innings. Herz is in line for a start in San Diego next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:47 pm
    • DJ Herz gives up three homers in start vs. Rockies
DJ Herz didn’t factor into the decision after allowing four runs — three earned — in 3 2/3 innings against the Rockies.

Advice: Herz was able to strike out five in the start, which is good. He also gave up seven hits with three of them homers, which is not. The left-hander was dominant against the Marlins with 13 punchouts Saturday, but while the swing-and-miss ability was still apparent, the lack of ideal command was as well. He’s a very risky starter against the Padres next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:41 pm
    • Tosses five frames
Singer yielded a run on three hits and two walks over five innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out four during a loss to Texas.

Advice: Singer turned in three scoreless frames before Wyatt Langford knocked an RBI double in the fourth inning. It was the only damage against Singer through five innings, but the Royals bullpen would go on to allow five runs in the sixth and cost him a win. It was his first start without allowing a homer since May 19; in his previous four outings, he was taken deep six times, resulting in a 5.31 ERA. Singer lowered his season ERA to 3.29 with an 80:25 K:BB through 82 frames. He's in line for a home start against the Marlins next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:19 pm
    • Brady Singer pitches well in no-decision on Friday
Brady Singer pitched well in a no-decision against the Rangers on Friday night, allowing just one run on three hits over his five frames.

Advice: Singer racked up four strikeouts on the evening while surrendering a pair of free passes. The lone run that scored against him came on an RBI double off the bat of Wyatt Langford in the fourth inning. Singer exited with a 2-1 lead and in line for a victory, but the Royals’ bullpen was unable to oblige. The 27-year-old hurler got nine whiffs on 89 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll carry a 3.29 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and an 80/25 K/BB ratio (82 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Marlins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:49 pm
