    • Away from team Monday
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox while tending to a personal matter in the Dominican Republic, but he's expected to rejoin the Dodgers on Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: The Dodgers will play a man short in Monday's game versus the White Sox as Hernandez exits the lineup for the first time in 2024 following a stretch of 79 consecutive starts to open the season. Hernandez should be back in the lineup Tuesday, but fantasy managers will want to confirm as much prior to the 8:10 p.m. ET opening pitch for the second game of the Dodgers' series in Chicago. • Goes yard again
Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 4-0 win over Kansas City.

Advice: Smith tagged Sam Long for a solo shot in the seventh inning, marking Smith's third home run in the last five games. During that stretch, he's 7-for-13 with six RBI. With third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) nearing a return, Smith could shift away from the hot corner and into the DH slot. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 10:40 pm
    • Provides offense Sunday
Morel went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Morel provided all of Chicago's offense with his 15th home run of the season in the seventh inning. The 24-year-old has hit 15 or more homers in each of his three MLB seasons to date, including a career high 26 long balls last year in 107 games. Assuming he stays healthy, Morel could surpass that figure in 2024 as the team is still a few games shy of the season's midpoint. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 7:27 pm

    • Christopher Morel slugs two-run homer in loss
Christopher Morel slugged a two-run homer on Sunday night, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Cubs past the Mets.

Advice: The Cubs weren’t able to get anything going over six innings against Luis Severino, but they started to battle back as soon as he exited. Morel finally got them on the board with a 420-foot (106.9 mph EV) two-run blast off of Dedniel Nunez in the seventh inning. The 24-year-old slugger finished the night 1-for-4 and is now hitting .203/.304/.395 with 15 homers, 45 RBI and seven stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Jun 23, 7:21 pm

    • Josh Smith homers in win
Josh Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Smith took Sam Long deep 383 feet at 102.2 mph for his seventh home run on the season. The 26-year-old has been brilliant filling in for Josh Jung, hitting .303/.391/.478 on the year. Considering his ability to play all over the field, he should be able to fight for consistent playing time even when Jung returns. Provided he keeps hitting like this. Rotoworld Jun 23, 3:01 pm
    • Back at third base for now
Smith started at third base and went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-0 win over Kansas City.

Advice: Smith made a second consecutive start in the field after serving as a designated hitter for a pair of games. He had been dealing with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss four games before returning as the DH. Now that he's back in the field, the question becomes how long he will be there. Third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) rejoined the team Friday and will take live batting practice Tuesday. If all goes well, Jung could be activated off the 60-day injured list afterward. The Rangers would like to keep Smith's bat in the lineup; he's batting .304/.393/.469 over a career-high 259 plate appearances. The lefty hitter could serve as the primary DH; he owns an .857 OPS against lefties and an .863 OPS against righties this season. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 4:36 am
    • Swats 11th long ball
Bleday went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Saturday in a loss to the Twins.

Advice: Bleday knotted the score with his solo blast in the bottom of the first inning, though it proved to be futile when Minnesota put up seven runs in the following frame. The homer was Bleday's 11th of the campaign, establishing a new career-best mark. The center fielder has also posted a career-high 28 RBI, 22 doubles and three triples while scoring 35 runs and slashing .256/.341/.472 through 319 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Jun 22, 10:28 pm
    • Lifts 16th homer
Alvarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Alvarez has gone 4-for-12 with two homers over three games since returning from a family matter. The slugger has hit seven of his 16 long balls this season over 17 games in June, batting .359 (23-for-64) in that span. He's up to a .292/.363/.525 slash line, 41 RBI, 43 runs scored and three stolen bases over 74 contests. Rotowire.com Jun 22, 8:07 pm

    • Homers, drives in two in win
Morel went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Mets.

Advice: Morel hit an RBI single in the first inning and crushed a 446-foot solo home run in the third. Morel's .209 average so far in June is actually his highest in any month this season, and the homer was his fourth in 19 June games. The 24-year-old is batting just .202 to date but does have 14 home runs and 43 RBI over 267 at-bats in 2024. Rotowire.com Jun 22, 6:43 pm
