      Advice: Morel hit an RBI single in the first inning then crushed a 446-foot solo home run in the third. Morel's .209 average so far in June is actually his highest of any month this season, and the homer was his fourth in 19 June games.       Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday, powering the Cubs to an 8-1 blowout victory over the Mets.

      Advice: Morel contributed a run-scoring single as part of Chicago’s five-run opening frame against Mets starter Tylor Megill before clobbering a gargantuan 446-foot solo shot to left-center field -- his 14th round-tripper of the season -- a couple innings later.       Alex Bregman went 3-for-5 in a win over the White Sox on Thursday.

    • Maikel Garcia gets a day off on Thursday
      Maikel Garcia is not in the Royals’ lineup for Thursday’s game against the Athletics.

      Advice: The 24-year-old is hitting just .145 in 16 games in June with 12 strikeouts. He does have four steals and 10 runs scored and is coming off a month of May where he hit .305, so this might be nothing but a brief cold stretch. The Royals will hope a day off helps him get back on track. In the meantime, Garrett Hampson will start at second base and hit eighth with Nick Loftin moving over to third base.       Advice: Bregman finally got the scoring started in the ballgame with his RBI triple off of Tigers’ start left-hander Tarik Skubal in the sixth inning. He then trotted home on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Yordan Alvarez.       Garcia went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI, a run and walk in Thursday's 4-3 win versus the Yankees.

      Advice: Garcia came up with two on and two out in the ninth and took a Clay Holmes sinker down the left-field line to win it for Kansas City. The 24-year-old third baseman entered the game in a bit of a slump during June with just one RBI and a .159 average in 40 at-bats. Garcia continues to provide a spark for the Royals this season with his solid counting stats, as he now has 18 extra-base hits and 38 RBI with 16 stolen bases through 68 games.       Maikel Garcia delivered a two-run double with two outs in the ninth to give the Royals a 4-3 win over the Yankees on Thursday.

      Advice: Garcia hasn’t hit quite as well as we expected, but he has 38 RBI anyway, mostly because his average is over 100 points higher with runners on than with the bases empty.
