    • Marcus Stroman beats Braves to improve to 7-3
Marcus Stroman picked up his seventh victory of the season on Saturday night, limiting the Braves to three runs on just three hits over his 6 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: Stroman piled up six strikeouts on the evening while issuing a pair of walks. The 33-year-old hurler had allowed just one run through his first six innings of work, but he returned for the seventh where he served up a two-run blast to Travis d’Arnaud before exiting. Stroman got 12 swings and misses on 93 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 27 percent. Now 7-3 on the season, he’ll tote a 3.15 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and a 67/40 K/BB ratio (91 1/3 innings) into Friday’s battle against the Blue Jays in Toronto. Rotoworld Today, 7:24 pm
    • Jackson Merrill powers Padres past Brewers
Jackson Merrill went 3-for-3, drew a walk and clobbered a three-run homer on Saturday, powering the Padres to a 6-4 victory over the Brewers in San Diego.

Advice: Merrill smacked a one-out single off of Carlos Rodriguez in the second inning, but was ultimately stranded at third base. The 21-year-old outfielder then broke a scoreless tie with his mammoth 440-foot (105.9 mph EV) three-run blast to center field in the fourth inning. He also singled in the sixth. With his three-hit attack, Merrill is now slashing a robust .290/.327/.444 with 10 homers, 35 RBI and nine stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 7:00 pm

    • Reports soreness during bullpen
Kershaw (shoulder) reported soreness during Saturday's bullpen session and could have his rehab outing scheduled for Tuesday pushed back, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Kershaw completed three innings in a rehab outing at Single-A Ranchero Cucamonga on Wednesday and was expected to jump up to Triple-A Oklahoma City for Tuesday's outing. However, he may need more time between rehab appearances after feeling soreness in his shoulder during a bullpen session Saturday. Even if Kershaw does have to push back his next outing, he's still not expected back until near the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 4:44 pm

    • Clayton Kershaw dealing with soreness in shoulder
Dodgers’ skipper Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Clayton Kershaw reported feeling soreness in his left shoulder following a bullpen session earlier in the day.

Advice: It’s not unusual for a pitcher to feel some soreness as they’re getting stretched out after such a long layoff, but he’ll be monitored closely over the next few days. Roberts noted that it’s possible Kershaw’s next minor league rehab start — scheduled for Tuesday at Triple-A Oklahoma City — will need to be pushed back. Rotoworld Today, 4:34 pm

    • Montas allows two in six innings in no-decision
Frankie Montas allowed two runs in six innings and got a no-decision against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Montas gave up five hits, walked one and struck out four. He was in line for the win until the Reds bullpen gave up the lead in the eighth inning. Montas has now won just one of his last 12 starts, though he was able to post his fourth quality start of the season. His ERA is now 4.48 on the year. The 31-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cardinals on the road next weekend.

    • Gleyber Torres returns to lineup on Saturday
Gleyber Torres (groin) is back in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Braves.

Advice: Torres sat out Friday’s series opener following an early exit from Thursday’s game due to right groin tightness. It’s a positive sign that he’s back in the lineup and it confirms the belief from Yankees manager Aaron Boone that Torres wasn’t dealing with anything major. Rotoworld Today, 12:01 pm

    • Back in lineup Saturday
Torres (groin) is starting at second base and batting seventh for Saturday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Torres left in the sixth inning of Thursday's game against the Orioles due to tightness in his right groin. He was held out of Friday's game as a precaution and is back in the lineup Saturday. For the month of June, Torres is slashing .194/.268/.387 with three home runs and 12 RBI over 62 at-bats. • Sitting Saturday
Gurriel (elbow) isn't in Arizona's lineup for Saturday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Gurriel was removed from Friday's game due to a sore left elbow, and it is seemingly bothering him enough to keep him from playing Saturday, though the D-backs don't believe his injury to be anything too serious. Jake McCarthy will slide over to left field while Gurriel recovers, allowing Randal Grichuk to start in right field while batting sixth. Rotowire.com Today, 10:51 am

    • Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (elbow) not in Saturday’s lineup
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (elbow) is absent from the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Phillies.

Advice: Gurriel hasn’t been placed on the injured list yet, so that’s at least an encouraging development after he was lifted from Friday’s contest against Philadelphia with left elbow soreness. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for the moment. Rotoworld Today, 9:18 am
