    • Sitting out Monday
Lowe is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Lowe has gone 1-for-11 with five strikeouts at the dish since returning from his second stint on the injured list, so he'll get a day off to regroup. Jose Siri will cover center field and Richie Palacios will man right field for Tampa Bay on Monday. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:57 am

    • Shifts to 60-day IL
Atlanta transferred Acuna (knee) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Advice: The 26-year-old recently underwent season-ending surgery to repair the torn ACL in his left knee, so it was only a matter of time before he was moved to the 60-day IL to free up a spot on the 40-man roster. Acuna will have nearly 10 months of recovery and rehab before Opening Day in 2025, so there's a chance he's ready for the start of next season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:48 am

    • Atlanta moves Acuña Jr. to 60-day injured list
Braves transferred OF Ronald Acuña Jr. from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: It’s a procedural move that creates room on the 40-man roster. Acuña Jr. will miss the rest of 2024 after undergoing surgery Wednesday to repair a torn ACL in his left knee. Rotoworld Sunday, 6:37 am

    • Blasts third homer, steals base
Friedl went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Friedl drove in three of the Reds' four runs on a two-run homer off Ben Brown in the third and an RBI groundout in the fifth. Friedl reached base again on a walk in the eighth and added his fifth stolen base of the season. The 28-year-old has struggled to stay healthy this season, but he's now started in 10 straight games since his latest IL stint. The center fielder has three homers, 13 RBI and five stolen bases in just 16 games this year. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:25 pm
    • Taking seat Friday
Lowe is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Baltimore, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe will get a day off with lefty Cole Irvin on the mound for the O's. Randy Arozarena, Jose Siri and Jonny DeLuca will patrol the outfield from left to right Friday. Rotowire.com Friday, 12:13 pm

    • Undergoes ACL surgery
Acuna underwent surgery Wednesday to repair the torn ACL in his left knee, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: The reigning NL MVP had already been ruled out for the season, but Acuna will now be able to begin rehabbing from the injury he suffered May 26. The 26-year-old underwent ACL surgery on his right knee in 2021, so he's familiar with the process. Acuna's injury that year happened in mid-July, not late May, and the difference could allow him to be ready for Opening Day in 2025. Rotowire.com Friday, 6:22 am

    • Doubles home go-ahead run
Friedl went 1-for-4 with a walk, a double, an RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 8-4 win over the Cubs.

Advice: In a back-and-forth affair, Friedl produced the go-ahead run in the sixth inning with a two-out double off lefty reliever Luke Little. The double extended Friedl's hit streak to five games, during which he's 6-for-19 with three extra-base hits, seven RBI and six runs scored. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:33 am
    • Ronald Acuña Jr. undergoes surgery to repair torn ACL
Ronald Acuña Jr. underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn ACL in his left knee.

Advice: Dr. Neal ElAttrache performed the procedure in Los Angeles. Braves manager Brian Snitker told reporters Thursday that Acuña will stay in Los Angeles for “a month or more” at the outset of his rehabilitation process, which is expected to carry into the early portion of next year. There’s optimism that the 26-year-old fantasy superstar will be ready for the start of next season, barring any setbacks. Rotoworld Thursday, 3:24 pm
