• Slugs second homer
Pham went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Monday against the Rays.

Advice: Pham was the only source of offense for Chicago when he took Tyler Alexander deep for his second home run of the season. Since joining the White Sox on April 26, Pham has regularly hit second in the order and has at least one knock in seven of his 10 games. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago
  • Rays send Brandon Lowe on rehab assignment
Rays sent 2B Brandon Lowe (oblique) on a rehab assignment to Triple-A Durham.

Advice: Lowe was placed on the 10-day injured list in mid-April and the team has been careful with him before getting him to a minor league assignment. He’ll likely need to get two or three games under his belt since he’s been out for almost a month, but he’ll be a much-needed addition to the Rays and fantasy managers that have him on rosters. • Dealing with sore wrist
Garcia jammed his wrist Sunday sliding into second base and was replaced by pinch-hitter Ildemaro Vargas in the eighth inning, but he's not expected to miss much time, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: The Nationals had an off day Monday, so Garcia might not end up missing a start, but it wouldn't be a surprise if manager Dave Martinez gave him an extra day to recover. Garcia has had a breakout season so far, slashing .337/.381/.510 with three homers and six steals in 105 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago

  • Cardinals send Matt Carpenter on rehab assignment
Cardinals sent DH Matt Carpenter (oblique) on a rehab assignment to Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: The 38-year-old veteran was taking swings prior to the weekend and will get his first rehab assignment since being placed on the injured list in early April. If all things go well, the Cardinals should expect Carpenter to be on the active roster in the coming days, but fantasy managers might want to consider other options if they need additional depth on their rosters. • Pops fifth homer
Gordon went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder took Walker Buehler deep in the top of the second inning to briefly tie the game at 3-3, but Los Angeles took the lead for good in the bottom of the frame. Gordon has gone yard in back-to-back games and is up to five homers on the year in only 32 games -- a surprisingly power display for a player whose career high is nine home runs in 138 games, set in 2022. The rest of Gordon's numbers are far less impressive, and he's slashing .212/.244/.424 with nine runs, 16 RBI and only one steal in two attempts. Rotowire.com Today, 6:29 am

  • Starts in left field
Duran started in left field and went 0-for-2 in Monday's 4-2 win over Oakland.

Advice: Duran made his first outfield start of 2024, coming against lefty Alex Wood. He was eventually pinch hit for by Evan Carter when a right-handed reliever entered the game. Duran, who started 32 games in the outfield last season, will be part of the crew that replaces the injured Wyatt Langford (hamstring), who is expected to miss three-to-four weeks. Duran is the lone righty-hitting outfielder in that replacement mix, joining lefties Carter and Travis Jankowski. Of the trio, Carter is expected to get the bulk of the starts. Duran wielded a capable backup bat in 2023, posting 14 home runs and a .767 OPS, but he's off to less enticing start this year (.226/.293/.264). Rotowire.com Today, 3:44 am

  • Corey Seager’s three-run homer leads Rangers
Corey Seager hit a three-run homer in the eighth to lead the Rangers past the A’s 4-2 on Monday.

Advice: The Rangers were still scoreless until Seager took Lucas Erceg deep in the eighth. They then added an insurance run in the ninth. The homer was Seager’s third in 33 games this season. He’s obviously still way off his 2023 numbers, but not in such a way that he’s a particularly weaker bet for the rest of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:31 pm
  • Goes yard again
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Monday's 2-1 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Ramirez provided the go-ahead run in the sixth inning, tagging Jack Flaherty for a solo homer. Ramirez has now generated a home run in back-to-back games but is still trying to dig his way out of a slump. In his last 10 appearances, Ramirez is 5-for-35 (.143) with five RBI, five runs scored and no multi-hit games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:17 pm
  • Steals another base
Chisholm went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and a stolen base Monday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Chisholm put his speed on display in the first inning, reaching on a leadoff infield single, swiping second base and coming around to score on a single. He finished with his second straight multi-hit game, and he's stolen three bases over that pair of contests. Chisholm's career high in stolen bases is 23 (set in 2021), and he's on pace to surpass that mark with eight thefts through 36 contests this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:13 pm
