Dakota Hudson pitches well in loss to Marlins
Dakota Hudson pitched well in a losing effort against the Marlins on Wednesday night, allowing just two runs on five hits across 5 2/3 frames.
Advice: The 29-year-old right-hander walked two batters and struck out a pair on the evening. All of the scoring done against him came in the fifth inning, as Luis Arraez roped an RBI single to center and then scored on an RBI double off the bat of Bryan De La Cruz. Hudson got six whiffs on 78 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 26 percent. Now 0-5 on the season, he’ll try again to get into the win column as he carries a 5.93 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and an 18/17 K/BB ratio (30 1/3 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the Giants in Colorado.
