    • Evan Carter (back) available off bench on Friday
Evan Carter (back) was held out of the Rangers’ starting lineup once again on Friday night, but will be available off the bench.

Advice: The 21-year-old outfielder has been sidelined since Saturday due to stiffness in his lower back. The good news is that he’s progressing and won’t require a trip to the injured list, and likely wouldn’t have been in the starting lineup anyways on Friday with left-hander Tyler Anderson taking the ball for the Angels. Expect Carter to return to the starting lineup at some point over the weekend. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago

    • Available off bench Friday
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said that Carter (back) is available off the bench for Friday's series opener against the Angels, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Carter hasn't played since May 10 against the Rockies due to lower-back inflammation. He received a cortisone shot Monday, and while he won't be starting Friday, he will be available out of the dugout if needed. Carter is slashing .216/.303/.416 with six doubles, five home runs and 15 RBI over 142 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago

    • Held out again Friday
Nimmo (illness) remains out of the lineup for Friday's contest in Miami.

Advice: Nimmo was a late scratch from Thursday's lineup due to a stomach bug and he's evidently still not feeling well enough to play. With Nimmo resting, the Mets will go with Tyrone Taylor in left field and in the leadoff spot. Rotowire.com Today, 12:52 pm

    • Electrifying in win
De La Cruz went 4-for-4 with a double, an RBI, three runs scored and four stolen bases in Thursday's win over the Dodgers while also drawing a walk.

Advice: De La Cruz was a force to be reckoned with, reaching base five times and swiping at least one bag following each of his first three plate appearances. Those steals would lead to him scoring three runs, marking the third time this season he's accomplished that feat. It was also the star shortstop's first four-hit game on the campaign and his third game with three or more hits. De La Cruz has a whopping 30 stolen bases on the season following his first four-steal performance, sitting 13 ahead of the next closest player, Tampa Bay's Jose Caballero. • Elly De La Cruz steals four bases vs. Dodgers
Elly De La Cruz went 4-for-4 with four stolen bases on Thursday, leading the Reds to a 7-2 victory over the Dodgers.

Advice: De La Cruz might break the century mark in the stolen base department, if he sustains this surreal pace. He was thrown out attempting a fifth steal in the seventh inning of Thursday’s showdown at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The 22-year-old burgeoning fantasy superstar is still striking out 30 percent of the time, but some improved plate discipline has enabled him to reach base more frequently this season and show off his field-tilting speed. He’s batting .277/.378/.516 with 35 runs scored, nine homers, 22 RBI and 30 steals following the first four-steal performance of his career out in Los Angeles. There’s still some room for improvement, but De La Cruz is rapidly evolving into one of the premier five-category impact contributors in the entire fantasy landscape. Rotoworld Today, 3:11 am
    • Goes yard again
Lowe went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Thursday's 7-5 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Lowe has generated at least one hit in all eight starts since coming off the IL and tallied his second homer in the Boston series Thursday. He tagged Cooper Criswell for a two-run shot in the third inning to put the Rays ahead 3-1. Lowe owns a .957 OPS in 38 plate appearances this season with four runs scored. • Lowe leaves the yard Thursday
Josh Lowe went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI against the Red Sox on Thursday.

Advice: It was Lowe’s second home run of the season. He hit an 0-2 pitch from Cooper Criswell into the right field bullpen that looked like it could’ve been caught by outfielder Wilyer Abreu. Lowe started the season on the IL, but he’s now hitting .294 with a .956 OPS. He really just needs to stay healthy for another big season.

    • Brandon Nimmo scratched from Thursday’s lineup
Brandon Nimmo has been scratched from the lineup for Thursday’s showdown against the Phillies due to illness.

Advice: Nimmo is dealing with a stomach bug, which will keep him out for at least Thursday’s contest. It’ll be Tyrone Taylor moving up to the leadoff spot and DJ Stewart taking over in left field. He’s presumably day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:28 pm

    • Scratched from lineup
Nimmo was scratched from the Mets' lineup prior to Thursday's game against the Phillies due to a stomach illness, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Nimmo wasn't feeling well heading into Thursday's contest, so the Mets will give him the day off to recover. In the meantime, DJ Stewart will take Nimmo's place in left field and bat fifth, moving Tyrone Taylor into the leadoff spot. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:22 pm
