    • Austin Riley wakes up with three hits, homer
Austin Riley went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBI, and two runs scored against the Rays on Friday.

Advice: Finally, some signs of life from Riley. His home run was hammered 107.3 MPH and soared 422 feet. All three of his batted balls were hit at least 104 MPH and this feels like it could be the end of Riley’s prolonged cold start this season. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago
    • CJ Abrams goes 3-for-4 in win
CJ Abrams had two singles, a double, a walk, two RBI, and a run scored in a win over the Marlins on Friday.

Advice: Abrams started the game with a double and notched two hits in the Nationals’ seven-run third inning. He’s trended down some since a torrid first few weeks of the season but still carries a solid .257/.308/.489 slash line with 11 home runs and 10 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 6:11 pm

    • Return might come Monday
Turner (hamstring) could be activated from the 10-day injured list on Sunday or Monday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: While the Phillies have been vague about Turner's timetable, Gelb notes that the shortstop ran again Friday and while he could "maybe" return Sunday, it will "probably" happen Monday. Philadelphia begins a six-game homestand on Monday against the Padres. Turner has been shelved since early May with a left hamstring strain and it's looking like he'll skip a rehab assignment. • Struggles continue Thursday
Riley went 0-for-5 with a strikeout in Thursday's win over the Orioles.

Advice: The third baseman's been dropped down to fifth in the order, even with lefty-hander Cole Irvin on the mound for Baltimore on Thursday, but it hasn't helped wake up Riley's bat. His last homer came May 3, and in 16 games since he returned from an intercostal strain he's slashing just .161/.212/.194 with two RBI and a 4:17 BB:K. Riley's track record says he will heat up at some point this summer, and his Statcast profile suggests there's a great deal of bad luck contributing to his numbers this season -- he's in the 91st percentile in max exit velocity, 90th percentile in bat speed and 82nd percentile in hard-hit rate. • Crushes three-run homer in win
O'Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in a 9-3 win over the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: O'Neill singled in the first inning then broke the game open in the fourth, crushing a three-run homer off Aaron Nola that traveled 430 feet over the Green Monster. After returning at DH from a knee injury Wednesday, O'Neill got the start in right field and hit his first home run since May 19. O'Neill endured a terrible May, hitting .151 with two home runs and five RBI over 73 at-bats but has opened June going 7-for-16 with a homer and five RBI in just five contests. Health has always been a concern for O'Neill, as he has eclipsed 100 games played in a season just once, but he is now slashing .256/.356/.512 with 12 home runs in 2024. • O’Neill crushes 12th home run Thursday
Tyler O’Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run against the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: O’Neill’s home run was his 12th and his first since May 19th against St. Louis. He was back in right field after missing Tuesday’s game with knee discomfort and occupying the designated hitter spot on Wednesday. Fantasy managers have to be pleased with these developments. • Trea Turner (hamstring) running at 100 percent
Trea Turner (hamstring) progressed to running at 100 percent on Thursday.

Advice: Turner is trending towards making his long-awaited return to Philadelphia’s lineup at some point early next week. It sounds like the 30-year-old shortstop will skip a minor-league rehab assignment, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him get in a couple at-bats over the weekend prior to returning. • Heading to bench Thursday
Joe is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Joe will take a seat for the series finale along with two of the other Pirates' everyday players in Andrew McCutchen and Nick Gonzales. Though he's been one of the Pirates' better hitters for much of the season, Joe has fallen into a 2-for-27 skid at the plate over his last eight games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:37 am

    • Belts 11th homer
Abrams went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-5 win over the Tigers.

Advice: The shortstop launched a solo shot off Reese Olson in the third inning to get the Nationals on the board. Abrams has shaken off his May slump, hitting safely in six straight games with six of his seven hits (three doubles, a triple and two homers) during that stretch going for extra bases. On the season, the 23-year-old is slashing .248/.296/.472 with 11 homers, 10 steals, 34 RBI and 38 runs in 61 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:42 am
