    • Suffers wrist contusion
Rengifo suffered a left wrist contusion in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Giants, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Rengifo took a line drive single from Matt Chapman off his left arm in the bottom of the fourth inning while playing third base, exiting the contest thereafter. The 27-year-old underwent X-rays, which showed just a contusion and he said the he expects to play Monday against the Brewers. Rengifo can be considered day-to-day for the time being. • Roughed up in loss
Lively (6-3) took the loss Sunday against Toronto, yielding four earned runs on six hits and three walks in four innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Lively pitched for the first time in eight days after leaving his most recent start with tightness after 65 pitches. He surrendered a two-run home run to Ernie Clement in the second inning, his first home run allowed since May 26. The four earned runs are a season-worst for the 32-year-old, who had notched wins in each of his previous five starts. Despite Sunday's rough outing, Lively has pitched well for Cleveland this season, logging a 3.02 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and a 52:18 K:BB across 59.2 innings pitched. He is currently scheduled for a rematch against Toronto next weekend. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

    • Logan Gilbert dominates Rangers in 5-0 game
Logan Gilbert allowed two hits and walked none over eight innings in the Mariners’ 5-0 shutout of the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: Gilbert recorded 21 whiffs and nine strikeouts in one of the best outings of his still rather young career. He’s 12-for-15 giving the Mariners quality starts this year, which would seem to warrant better than 4-4 record. His 2.93 ERA ranks 15th in the majors, but his 0.92 WHIP places fifth. • Dane Dunning fans eight, gets lifted in fifth
Dane Dunning allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings and struck out eight before being lifted from his start against the Mariners on Sunday.

Advice: Dunning’s K rate this year has been quite encouraging — he’s fanned 67 in 59 innings — but the extra homers and extra walks he’s given up have made him a far less effective pitcher than he was last year. If he remains in the rotation and has more luck with homers, he still might be a factor in mixed leagues after the break. However, if all goes as the Rangers hope and they get to add Max Scherzer, Tyler Mahle and Jacob deGrom to the rotation, Dunning could finish the year in the pen. Rotoworld 8 minutes ago

    • Tyler Locklear hits second homer versus Rangers
Tyler Locklear hit his second MLB homer Sunday off the Rangers’ José LeClerc.

Advice: Ty France’s return is just around the corner, but Locklear is making a case to stick around afterwards as a platoon DH, even if his 12/1 K/BB in 29 plate appearances is hideous. After all, he’s now tied for third on the Mariners with his two homers. Not truly, but you believed it for a second, didn’t you? Rotoworld 8 minutes ago
    • Leody Taveras goes 0-for-3 in loss to Mariners
Leody Taveras went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts Sunday, leaving him 2-for-39 this month.

Advice: Taveras was a league-average hitter through two months, but this slump has him all of the way down to .211/.281/.322. At this rate, the Rangers might have to think about adding another outfielder prior to the trade deadline. Rotoworld 8 minutes ago

    • Dealing with rotator cuff injury
Yamamoto (triceps) was diagnosed with a right rotator cuff strain Sunday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Yamamoto was lifted from his start Saturday versus the Royals in the third inning with right tricep tightness before being placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday. It is now understood to be a rotator cuff injury, which is certainly a more significant diagnosis. Manager Dave Roberts said that the injury is not "season ending" but it's "going to be some time" before the right-hander will be able to return. In regards to his replacement in the Dodgers' starting rotation, Bobby Miller (shoulder) is expected to return to the major-league roster Wednesday. It's unclear how much of a factor Yamamoto will be for fantasy managers the rest of the season. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago

    • Luis Rengifo (wrist) expects to play on Monday
Luis Rengifo (wrist) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he expects to play on Monday.

Advice: Rengifo was pulled from Sunday’s game after being drilled in the wrist by a ball off the bat of Matt Chapman. He did undergo precautionary X-rays that ruled out any fractures though and was diagnosed with a left wrist contusion. While he wants to play on Monday, it’s possible that the Angels give him an extra day off to rest. He won’t be looking at any sort of extended absence though. Rotoworld 19 minutes ago

    • Leaves Sunday in seventh inning
Carroll left Sunday in the seventh inning against the White Sox with an apparent left side injury, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Piecoro observed Carroll reacting after a throw in the top of the inning. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. replaced Carroll in the game, with Jake McCarthy moving from left field to center field to replace Carroll. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago
