      Kyle Finnegan recorded his 22nd save in a 2-1 win over the Rockies on Sunday.

      Advice: It was not without drama, which is par for the course with Finnegan’s saves. He allowed back-to-back singles to start the inning, but then got Nolan Jones to strike out, Hunter Goodman to fly out, and caught Michael Toglia looking to end the game. Finnegan has a 2.23 ERA on the season but could lose a significant amount of fantasy value if he gets traded at the deadline.     • Nestor Cortes takes tough luck no decision
      Nestor Cortes allowed three runs on five hits in seven innings in a loss to the Yankees on Sunday.

      Advice: Cortes also struck out seven and walked nobody on the day. At times, he looked more electric than Max Fried, and it was Cortes who had more whiffs, getting 17 swings and misses on 49 swings for a 35 percent whiff rate and 36 percent CSW. Unfortunately, he allowed a solo home run to Jarred Kelenic and got himself into trouble in the fifth innings on three hits and a sac fly. It was more good than bad for Cortes on Sunday, and he’ll now take a 3.40 ERA into a solid start against the Blue Jays next weekend. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:31 pm
       
    • Max Fried keeps Yankees bats at bay
      Max Fried allowed one run on six hits in six innings in a win over the Yankees on Sunday.

      Advice: It wasn’t a dominant outing for the left-hander, but he allowed just one extra-base hit all day and was able to pitch his way out of any trouble that he found himself in. He induced just seven whiffs on 39 swings for an 18 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW, but that’s a pretty solid day against a good Yankees lineup.     • Takes loss despite quality start
      Cortes (4-6) was saddled with the loss Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits over seven innings against Atlanta. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Cortes mostly held the Atlanta bats in check to put together his third consecutive quality start and the ninth time this season he's struck out six or more batters, but the Yankees failed to provide any run support and Cortes was left with his sixth loss. Outside of a solo home run by Jarred Kelenic in the third, Cortes' only real trouble came in the fifth, when he allowed two runs on three hits. However, he finished his day strong by retiring all six batters faced in the sixth and seventh. Cortes has tossed 100.2 innings across 17 starts, accumulating 93 strikeouts. He'll take a 3.40 ERA and 1.07 WHIP into his next start, scheduled to take place when the Yankees head to Toronto for a four-game weekend set against the division-rival Blue Jays.     • Picks up seventh win
      Fried improved to 7-3 on the season in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Yankees, striking out four while allowing one run on six hits and no walks over six innings.

      Advice: Fried kept the Yankees off the board until a solo run crossed in the sixth on an Anthony Volpe double. Three of the six hits Fried allowed came during the sixth, but a timely double play ended the inning and kept Fried in line for his seventh win. Fried has now turned in eight quality starts through 15 outing, and in seventh of those starts, he's gone at least six innings while allowing no more than one earned run.       Max Fried shut the Yankees out over six innings in a 3-1 win on Sunday. He struck out four without walking a batter.

      Advice: Fried was great in this and kept the Yankees off-balance by mixing all five of his pitches. He didn’t throw one individual offering more than 30% of the time and was adept at varying his four-seam fastball, sinker, and curveball early in counts. He’s as steady and stable as they come.     • Nestor Cortes strikes out seven Braves in loss
      Nestor Cortes allowed three earned runs across seven innings Sunday against the Braves. He struck out seven and walked none as a tough-luck loser.

      Advice: Cortes was great Sunday, Max Fried was just better. Jarred Kelenic burned him for a short-porch home run early and then the bottom of the Braves’ lineup rallied in the fifth inning. Otherwise, Cortes was dotting his cutter on the edges all afternoon and kept the Braves’ big bats at bay. He’s had a fantastic season thus far with a 3.40 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 100 2/3 innings.     • Kyle Finnegan melts down in blown save vs. Rockies
      Kyle Finnegan was charged with two runs and failed to record an out on Saturday in an ugly blown save against the Rockies.

      Advice: Finnegan was saddled with a loss in the ninth inning after failing to hold a one-run lead at Coors Field. It was his first blown save since May 18. He gave up four consecutive hits to open the frame, including a game-tying single to Brenton Doyle, before handing out a bases-loaded free pass to Ryan McMahon to push across the game-winning run. It was a pretty legendary meltdown, but fantasy managers should overlook it considering the environment and how solid Finnegan has been overall this year. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:16 am
       
    • Shut down from throwing
      Romano experienced right elbow soreness after long tossing from 120 feet Friday and has been shut down from throwing, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

      Advice: Romano was slated to throw off the mound over the weekend, but he will now take a break while the team determines the next steps. Prior to landing on the injured list June 1, the 31-year-old closer registered eight saves across 15 outings with a 6.59 ERA and 1.46 WHIP over 13.2 innings. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:40 am
