    • Rockies activate Elias Diaz (calf) off 10-day IL
Rockies activated C Elias Diaz off the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Diaz missed two weeks while dealing with a left calf strain. The backstop is in the starting lineup Sunday as the designated hitter, and he should be able to move behind the plate in the coming days. With Diaz on the IL, the Rockies designated infielder Elehuris Montero for assignment to make room. Rotoworld Today, 9:23 am

    • Activated, serving as DH on Sunday
The Rockies reinstated Diaz (calf) from the 10-day injured list Sunday. He'll serve as the Rockies' designated hitter and will bat fifth in Sunday's series finale versus the White Sox, according to Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette.

Advice: Colorado designated infielder Elehuris Montero for assignment to clear room on the active roster for Diaz, who returns to action after missing just under three weeks with a left calf strain. Though he'll operate as the Rockies' DH in his first game back, Diaz should soon settle back into primary duties at catcher, leaving fewer opportunities to go around for Jacob Stallings and Hunter Goodman. • Three hits, RBI in loss
Chapman went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Chapman doubled in his first at-bat before then getting caught trying to steal second. He would then drive home Heliot Ramos with an infield single in the following frame before eventually going on to reach a total of four times in the contest. It marked Chapman's fourth three-hit performance this season and his first since May 18 against the Rockies. The third baseman has also hit safely in six straight games, posting two homers, six RBI and six runs scored over that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 8:38 am

    • Another big day at plate
Buxton went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer and four RBI in Saturday's win over Seattle.

Advice: Buxton doubled home Carlos Santana with two outs in the fourth to put Minnesota on top 2-1 and later added a three-run shot in the sixth to extend the lead, giving him his fourth home run in his last five games. The outfielder has also tallied multiple hits in four of his last five, posting 11 RBI and eight runs over that stretch while striking out just one time. Rotowire.com Today, 7:56 am
    • Byron Buxton homers, plates four to sink Mariners
Byron Buxton went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and four RBI on Saturday, powering the Twins to a decisive 5-1 victory over the Mariners.

Advice: Buxton served as Minnesota’s primary offensive catalyst on Saturday night at T-Mobile Park, smacking a tie-breaking RBI double into the left-field corner off Seattle starter Bryce Miller in the fourth inning before walloping a three-run shot - his eighth round-tripper of the year - against reliever Trent Thornton a few frames later. The 30-year-old center fielder got off to an extremely frosty start at the dish this season, but he’s been on fire over the last few weeks, batting .389 (21-for-54) with five homers and two steals over his last 15 games. There will be ebbs and flows with Buxton over the next few months, but he should undoubtedly be rostered in all fantasy formats until further notice. Rotoworld Today, 3:52 am
    • Battles Skenes in no-decision
Fried allowed one run on six hits and three walks while striking out four batters over six innings in a no-decision against Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Advice: Fried pitched very well in the contest, matching the six-inning, six-hit, one-run line put up by rookie phenom Paul Skenes for the Pirates. The Atlanta hurler has given up exactly one run in each of his past three starts, though he was just one win in that span. While Fried's strikeout numbers are down this season -- he has just 84 punchouts over 96 innings -- he's put up his usual ace-quality ratios otherwise with a 2.91 ERA and 1.09 WHIP through 16 starts. • Launches homer in loss
Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Goldschmidt went hitless in his previous two games, though he's gone 14-for-59 (.237) with four homers and eight RBI over his last 15 contests. The first baseman is up to 11 long balls on the year as his power has slowly returned in June. He's added 33 RBI, 39 runs scored, four stolen bases and 10 doubles while slashing .228/.297/.365 over 79 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:33 pm

    • Continues hot streak in win
Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI in Saturday's 9-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Guerrero opened the scoring with a two-run home run off Nestor Cortes in the first inning. He added a three-run double in the eighth and an RBI single in the eighth to finish the day with a whopping six RBI. The first baseman is scorching, having homered in three straight with six consecutive multi-hit efforts. Over those six games, he has driven in a ridiculous 19 runs and is now batting .296 with 13 home runs, 50 RBI and 40 runs scored in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:16 pm
    • Struggles early in loss
Cortes (4-7) took the loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

Advice: Cortes surrendered a two-run home run to Vladimir Guerrero in the first inning and an RBI double to Alejandro Kirk in the fourth. Cortes had rattled off three consecutive quality starts entering Saturday, but this was also the second time in June the southpaw was unable to complete five innings. On the season, the 29-year-old owns a 3.51 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 98:19 K:BB over 105 innings and lines up to face the Red Sox next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:08 pm
