    • Randy Arozarena (hamstring) rejoins Rays lineup
Randy Arozarena (hamstring) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Cubs.

Advice: Arozarena is playing left field and batting second against the Cubs after being held out of the lineup for the last two games of the series due to right hamstring tightness. He was able to pinch-hit each of the last two nights and remained in to play left field last night. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward. Rotoworld 59 minutes ago

    • Abraham Toro remains leadoff man despite slump
The slumping Abraham Toro is again in the leadoff spot for the A’s for Thursday’s game against the Twins.

Advice: That’s hardly a surprise, considering that Toro has led off every game for the A’s since May 5. Still, he’s not exactly succeeding in the spot, having posted a .281 OBP in 46 games there. He’s hit .202/.228/.270 in his last 20 games. Rotoworld Today, 12:49 pm

    • Jordan Wicks to start Friday against Cardinals
The Cubs confirmed that Jordan Wicks would start Friday versus the Cardinals in Ben Brown’s rotation slot.

Advice: Wicks was expected to move back into the rotation, and it became an easier move when Brown hurt his neck and went on the IL. Wicks had allowed one run in 3 1/3 innings in his lone relief appearance since coming off the IL. He’s capable of emerging as a quality mixed-league option in the coming weeks. • Out against left-hander
Lowe is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Cubs.

Advice: The Cubs are sending southpaw Justin Steele to the hill in the rubber match, so the left-handed hitting Lowe will begin the game on the bench. Jonny DeLuca is playing right field for the Rays. Rotowire.com Today, 12:21 pm

    • Returns to Tampa Bay lineup
Arozarena (hamstring) will start in left field and bat second in Thursday's game versus the Cubs.

Advice: Arozarena missed the previous two contests with right hamstring tightness but is feeling well enough to give it a go in this one. The 29-year-old will bring a disappointing .599 OPS into play Thursday. Rotowire.com Today, 12:19 pm

    • Brett Baty plays second base in Triple-A
The Mets have Brett Baty making his first professional start at second base in Triple-A on Thursday.

Advice: Baty took some reps as a middle infielder last month after the move to release Joey Wendle left him as the closest thing the Mets had to a backup at second and short. Since Baty joined the Mets on their London trip, he’s played in just four minor league games since getting demoted May 31, though he’s gone 8-for-19 with three homers. It seems quite unlikely that the Mets will ever want to make the switch from Jeff McNeil to Baty at second base, but it’d be nice if Baty could open up the possibility. Rotoworld Today, 12:16 pm

    • Reds send down Blake Dunn on day off
Reds optioned OF Blake Dunn to Triple-A Louisville.

Advice: Dunn went 1-for-10 in his nine days in the majors. The Reds don’t play today, so they’ll replace Dunn prior to Friday’s game. Bringing Connor Capel back could be one possibility. Rotoworld Today, 12:11 pm

    • Sitting out Thursday
Alvarez is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Marlins.

Advice: Alvarez started at catcher in the first two games of the series after being activated from the 10-day injured list, but he will sit out the finale. Luis Torrens will do the catching for Luis Severino. Rotowire.com Today, 12:09 pm
    • Officially demoted
The Mets optioned Young to Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday.

Advice: Young was expected to be the Mets' roster casualty as a result of Edwin Diaz's (shoulder) return, and his move to Syracuse is now official. The left-hander has allowed just one run in nine innings with the Mets and also boasts a 1.59 ERA in the minors, so it's likely he rejoins New York's bullpen at some point later in the summer.
