    • Expected to be optioned after rehab
Dominguez (elbow) is expected to be optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre once his 20-day rehab window concludes, Randy Miller of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Advice: Dominguez began a rehab assignment with Single-A Tampa on Tuesday as he comes back from Tommy John surgery. He will serve as the designated hitter for 10-to-14 days before eventually playing the outfield. The 21-year-old needs time to knock some rust off since he went eight months without playing games, so it's going to take beyond -- perhaps well beyond -- the 20-day rehab allotment before he becomes an option for the Yankees. Additionally, the Yanks are happy with their current outfield situation, so there's not really room for Dominguez right now, barring injury. Dominguez is still a worthy stash in fantasy leagues given his upside, but it's possible it might not be until 2025 when he gets another extended run with the big club. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago
    • Goes deep in loss
Abreu went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Rays.

Advice: Abreu gave Boston a 2-1 lead with his solo blast in the fourth inning. The homer was the fourth for Abreu, who has settled into the strong-side platoon role after a shaky start to the season. He's currently slashing .305/.391/.547 against right-handers. Rotowire.com Today, 6:00 am
    • Opportunity drying up
Jankowski started at designated hitter and went 1-for-4 in Wednesday's 4-0 win over Cleveland.

Advice: Jankowski made his third consecutive start and fourth in the last five games, but his opportunities may be coming to close. Evan Carter (lower back stiffness) is expected to return to the lineup Friday against the Angels, which is expected to move Jankowski back to a bench role. Additionally, the Angels' projected starter Friday is lefty Tyler Anderson, which would likely preclude Jankowski from making a fourth straight start. Rotowire.com Today, 5:47 am
    • Triples, scores in win
Taveras went 1-for-4 with a triple and run scored in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Taveras scored the Rangers first (and winning) run when his fifth-inning triple immediately preceded a Marcus Semien home run. Taveras has been rolling since late April, posting a .323 average (20-for-62) and .948 OPS with eight walks, two steals, three doubles, one triple, three home runs, eight RBI and 16 runs over the last 18 games. • Homer, two hits in win
Ward went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over St. Louis.

Advice: Ward jumped on a hanging four-seamer from Nick Robertson in the bottom of the seventh and sent it into the stands in left field for a leadoff home run, giving the outfielder his first long ball this month and his eighth overall on the season. Ward also recorded a single in the contest, marking his fourth multi-hit game in May, where he's now batting .261 with three RBI and six runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 5:34 am
    • Pops homer in loss
Espinal went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Epsinal cracked his second home run of the season in the fifth inning and has hit safely in five straight (6-for-15). The infielder is playing more than originally projected, filling in at second base for Matt McLain (shoulder) or third for Noelvi Marte (suspension), but Espinal's .200 average and .536 OPS are not enticing. • Belts fourth homer
Neto went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Wednesday's win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Neto singled in his first at-bat before being thrown out trying to steal second. He would then add a solo homer in the bottom of the sixth to extend the Angels' lead to four runs, giving the shortstop his fourth long ball of the season and his second in May. Neto has now hit safely in three straight games and hasn't struck out over that stretch after striking out five times in the previous three contests. Rotowire.com Today, 5:26 am
    • Clubs homer in loss
Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday in a loss to the Rays.

Advice: Devers' sixth-inning solo shot brought Boston to within a run, but it ended up being the final tally for either team. The long ball extended the third baseman's on-base streak to nine contests, and he's hitting .270 with two homers, five RBI and five runs over that stretch. On a less positive note, Devers has struck out at least once in 12 straight games, and his 24.1 percent strikeout rate is on pace to be his worst mark since the abbreviated 2020 campaign. • Blasts leadoff homer
Westburg went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Westburg made manager Brandon Hyde look smart -- this was Westburg's first big-league game at leadoff, and he hit a homer in his first at-bat. The infielder is 11-for-32 (.344) over his last eight games, adding six extra-base hits and seven RBI in that span. For the season, he's slashing .301/.354/.534 with seven homers, 28 RBI, 22 runs scored and five stolen bases through 159 plate appearances. Westburg may get more looks at leadoff versus southpaws, but he should be expected to bat lower in the lineup versus right-handers, as he has yet to above sixth in the order against same-handed pitchers this season.
