    • Nails down 13th save
Iglesias struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 13th save of the season in a 2-0 win over the Nationals.

Advice: The right-hander topped out at 97.5 mph and fired nine of 11 pitches for strikes as he breezed through the top of Washington's order. Iglesias appears to be finding his peak form, reeling off four straight scoreless appearances with a 5:0 K:BB. On the season, he sports a 2.21 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 16:5 K:BB through 20.1 innings. • Locks down 11th save
Miller gave up a hit and a walk while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 11th save of the season in a 3-0 win over the Rays.

Advice: The flamethrowing righty continues to dominate. Miller has yet to blow a save in 2024, and his 52.8 percent strikeout rate is the highest in the majors among pitchers who have worked at least 20 innings. Trade rumors are swirling around him, not surprising given the state of the Oakland franchise, but Miller would likely be the best closing option for any team that acquired him. Through 24 innings this season, he sports a 1.88 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 47:7 K:BB. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:21 am

    • Reaches five times
Springer went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and three walks during Tuesday's 7-2 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Springer reached base safely in all five plate appearances and came around to score multiple times for a second straight game. After enduring a 1-for-17 stretch at the plate, Springer has generated a pair of hits in back-to-back games. Overall, Springer is slashing .204/.291/.304 with four homers, seven stolen bases and 21 runs scored over 206 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:52 am

    • Falls to St. Louis
Abbott (3-5) took the loss Tuesday against the Cardinals, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Abbott held St. Louis to three runs through six innings, as he pitched into the seventh for a third straight start. However, Abbott would allow the first three batters to reach in the frame, punctuated by a Nolan Gorman homer, en route to an eventual 7-1 loss. The 24-year-old left-hander had held opponents to two earned runs or fewer in nine of his 10 starts prior to Tuesday. Abbott's ERA rose to 3.29 with a 1.13 WHIP and 46:17 K:BB over 63 innings this year. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week in Colorado. • Raisel Iglesias nails down 13th save in win
Raisel Iglesias threw a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in a 2-0 win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Iglesias struck out two and didn’t allow a hit as he picked up his 13th save of the season. He doesn’t get the respect that other elite closers get, but Iglesias has been one of the most reliable options in fantasy baseball for a while now. He has a 2.21 ERA on the season and figures to remain near the league-leaders in saves as the season goes on. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:05 pm
    • Mason Miller shuts door on Rays for 11th save
Mason Miller earned a save by preserving a 3-0 win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: Miller, who hadn’t pitched in two days, didn’t make it easy on himself. After getting the first two batters out, he allowed a single to Yandy Diaz and walked Brandon Lowe to bring the tying run to the plate before striking out Isaac Paredes to end the game. It was his 11th save of the year to go along with a 1.88 ERA. He has emerged as one of the most dominant relievers in baseball and with the A’s proving to be more competitive than many expected, Miller should easily eclipse the 20-save mark this year if he can stay healthy. • Andrew Abbott hit hard in loss to Cardinals
Andrew Abbott allowed six runs on seven hits in six innings in a loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Advice: It was only a matter of time before there was a rough start for the left-hander who came into the day with a 2.68 ERA but a 4.38 SIERA and just an 8.3 percent swinging strike rate. His sweeper performed well on Tuesday, but the rest of his arsenal lagged behind a bit and while he didn’t get hit overly hard, he had just an 18 percent whiff rate and 23 percent CSW on the day. He’ll now take a 3.29 ERA into a game in Coors Field next week. He’s a very risky start there. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:20 pm

    • Nolan Jones (back, knee) runs bases on Tuesday
Nolan Jones (back, knee) progressed to running the bases on Tuesday at Coors Field.

Advice: Jones was pulled off a minor league rehab assignment last week due to right knee soreness, so it’s an encouraging development that he’s resumed running already. The 26-year-old should ramp-up the intensity in the coming days and could get back into minor league contests as early as Thursday with Triple-A Albuquerque. He’s been on the shelf since late April due to a lower back strain. Rotoworld Tuesday, 3:29 pm

    • Getting breather versus lefty
Merrill isn't in the Padres' lineup Tuesday against the Marlins.

Advice: The left-handed bat of Merrill will step out of the lineup Tuesday as the Marlins prepare to send Jesus Luzardo to the mound. Jose Azocar will fill the void in center field and bat eighth while Merrill sits. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:21 pm
