    • Serves up first homer
Williams came away with a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the White Sox, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: The right-hander tossed 48 of 81 pitches for strikes and got burned by some shaky defense behind him, but the one earned run he allowed came on a solo shot by Eloy Jimenez in the second inning -- the first homer Williams had served up this season. It's been an impressive turnaround in that department for the 32-year-old right-hander as he was taken deep 34 times in 2023, most in the National League. Williams will take a 1.94 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB through 41.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come this weekend in Philadelphia. Rotowire.com 1 minute ago

    • Swats two-run homer
Gonzales went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: It took Gonzales just five games since being called up from Triple-A to notch a home run, tagging Joe Ross for a two-run shot in the fourth inning. While Tuesday's tilt marked Gonzales' second multi-RBI game this year, he's yet to generate multiple hits in a single game and is slashing .214/.267/.429 with a stolen base in 16 plate appearances. • Clubs rare homer
Frelick went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a stolen base during Tuesday's 4-3 win over Pittsburgh.

Advice: Felick carried a .051 ISO into Tuesday's contest but, surprisingly, tagged Quinn Priester for a two-run homer in the second frame. The long ball was Frelick's first of the season and the fourth of his career. On the year, Frelick owns a .243/.321/.314 slash line with 17 runs and five stolen bases. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

    • Hangs on for fifth save
Megill earned the save Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing a solo home run and no walks with two strikeouts across one inning.

Advice: Megill entered the contest with two runs of cushion and managed to secure his fifth save of the campaign despite allowing a solo homer to Connor Joe with two outs in the ninth. The 30-year-old is a perfect 5-for-5 in save chances and has only allowed two runs in 10.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago

    • Dealt another loss
Priester (0-4) took the loss Tuesday against Milwaukee, allowing four runs on nine hits and two walks during six innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Priester endured a nightmare second inning in which he allowed a two-run homer to Sal Frelick as part of a four-run, six-hit frame. The Pirates were never able to recover from the early deficit, falling 4-3 to give Priester his fourth loss in five starts. Despite the lack of wins, Priester has shown signs of improvement in his second year in the bigs, with his ERA dropping from 7.74 to 4.33 this season in 27 innings. With Paul Skenes impressing in his MLB debut and very likely to stick around, Priester could be the odd man out in the Pirates rotation. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

    • Gets on track with win
Ross (2-4) picked up the win Tuesday against Pittsburgh, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk across five innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Ross got a tally in the win column for the first time since April 9, putting together a spotless day outside of a two-run homer by Nick Gonzalez in the fourth. Although the 31-year-old hasn't been outstanding in 2024, he's been a reliable arm for a Brewers rotation that has been plagued by injuries. He's lasted at least five innings in six of his eight starts and has surrendered three or fewer runs six times as well. Ross is set up to make his next start during a three-game road series against the Marlins early next week. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago

    • Hits monster homer
Stanton went 2-for-5 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Twins.

Advice: Stanton launched a 427-foot homer in the third inning off Chris Paddack for his ninth long ball of 2024. The 34-year-old still owns a huge 34 percent strikeout rate, but he owns a .236 batting average and is slugging .471 -- both would be his best tallies since 2021. Stanton has hit safely in eight of his last nine games. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago
    • Alec Burleson homers, doubles in Cardinals’ win
Alec Burleson finished 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and a double as the Cardinals edged the Angels 7-6 on Tuesday.

Advice: It was rather surprising that Burleson was even in the lineup tonight, as he was making just his fourth start against a left-handed pitcher. The strong showing puts him up to .272/.306/.437 this season, and while that might not be overly exciting, his .743 OPS is tops on the Cardinals, at least once one excludes the .950 mark posted by Willson Contreras before he got hurt. Burleson remains an iffy played in mixed leagues, but it’d be no surprise if he remains one of the best bats on a subpar offense. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

    • Sonny Gray yields five runs to Angels in win
Sonny Gray won despite giving up five runs in six innings Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: Gray had a 0.89 ERA after five starts, but he’s given up 11 runs in his last two outings, putting him at 3.05. On the plus side, he still has an impressive 53/8 K/BB ratio in 41 1/3 innings. We ‘re not very concerned at this point; Gray will likely get hurt against eventually, but he should be plenty good until then. Rotoworld 35 minutes ago
