      Bogaerts (shoulder) took batting practice on the field Wednesday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: The Padres haven't divulged a potential timeline for Bogaerts' return from the 10-day injured list, but his ability to take on-field BP for the first time since suffering a fracture in his left shoulder in late May represents a major milestone in the recovery process.       Arenado (forearm) will start at third base and bat sixth in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.

      Advice: Arenado had been set to return Tuesday from a left forearm injury before that game was rained out, but he'll remain in the lineup for the makeup game. The sixth spot in the batting order represents the lowest that Arenado has slotted in his four seasons with the Cardinals.       Greene (5-3) took the loss Tuesday, surrendering six runs on seven hits and two walks over four innings as the Reds fell 9-5 to the Pirates. He struck out five.

      Advice: Aggressive baserunning helped Pittsburgh score three times in the first inning before adding three more in the third, and Cincy was never able to climb out of the hole. The loss was Greene's first since April 22 -- over the 10 starts in between, he'd posted a sharp 2.80 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 62:26 K:BB through 61 innings.       Lowe went 1-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases Tuesday against Seattle.

      Advice: Lowe has started to heat up at the plate, as he's gone 11-for-30 with three homers, seven RBI and six runs scored across his last eight games. He's also displayed a penchant for steals, swiping three bags across his last three starts.       Paredes went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Tuesday against the Mariners.

      Advice: Paredes went yard in the eighth inning to tally his 12th homer of the season and only his second since May 31. He's hit only .229 in that span with nine RBI and six runs scored.     • Struggles in short outing
      Miller did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 win against the White Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over two innings. He struck out one.

      Advice: The Dodgers right-hander labored through just two innings against a feeble White Sox lineup, requiring 60 pitches with only 32 percent being in the zone. Miller has been unsteady since returning from the injured list June 19, generating a 8.64 ERA and 3:4 K:BB across 8.1 innings versus two weak opponents -- Chicago and Colorado.     • Bobby Miller allows 3 ER in short outing vs. CWS
      Bobby Miller allowed three earned runs over two innings in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

      Advice: Miller surrendered a two-run homer to Andrew Benintendi in the bottom of the first inning, and later saw an Eloy Jiménez double bring Luis Robert Jr. around to score. Miller allowed four baserunners in the frame and needed 38 pitches to get out of the inning but was pulled after the second inning and 60 pitches. It was just Miller’s fifth start of the season and his second-shortest outing on the year, as he was erratic for much of the night, with only 33 of his pitches going for strikes. The young righty has allowed three earned runs or more in three of his starts this season and saw his ERA jump to 6.75 after Tuesday’s outing. If he’s given the chance, Miller will look to correct course in his next start, which is scheduled for Monday against the Diamondbacks. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:13 pm
       
    • Hunter Greene coughs up six runs to Pirates
      Hunter Greene allowed six runs on seven hits in four innings in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

      Advice: The game started with Greene throwing up on the mound after delivering a first-inning fastball and it didn’t get much better from there. He struck out five and walked two and his velocity was fine on the day, but he clearly wasn’t feeling 100 percent. He posted a solid 27 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW, but the command wasn’t great and the Pirates were able to scratch out their runs on just one extra-base hit.       Manager Craig Counsell said that Imanaga will make his next start in Thursday's series finale in San Francisco, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

      Advice: Imanaga had previously been in line to start Wednesday, but he'll get an extra day to rest up after he was lit up for 10 earned runs in just three innings during his most recent outing Friday against the Mets. Despite his awful performance Friday, the 30-year-old southpaw has still been strong overall with a 2.96 ERA and 1.10 WHIP alongside an 81:12 K:BB through 79 innings over 14 starts.
