      Marcus Semien finished 0-for-5 on Wednesday and is in a 4-for-41 slump in his last 10 games.

      Advice: Semien started off well enough in April, but he’s been treading water for about two months now, and particularly unfortunate for fantasy leaguers is that he’s attempted just four steals this season, converting three of them.       Advice: The Padres haven't divulged a potential timeline for Bogaerts' return from the 10-day injured list, but his ability to take on-field BP for the first time since suffering a fracture in his left shoulder in late May represents a major milestone in the recovery process.       Paredes went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Tuesday against the Mariners.

      Advice: Paredes went yard in the eighth inning to tally his 12th homer of the season and only his second since May 31. He's hit only .229 in that span with nine RBI and six runs scored.     • Homers twice versus Cleveland
      Horwitz went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs, two walks and three runs scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Guardians.

      Advice: Horwitz walked and came around to score on a home run from Vladimir Guerrero in the top of the first. Horwitz later added two long balls of his own, taking Triston McKenzie deep for a solo shot in the third before adding another blast off reliever Darren McCaughan in the fifth. After going without a homer for in his first 12 games this season, the 26-year-old notched his first pair Sunday.     • Luis Arraez has two hits, RBI in loss on Sunday
      Luis Arraez went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and an RBI on Sunday afternoon as the Padres fell to the Brewers.

      Advice: The sweet-swinging 27-year-old got the Padres on the board with a two-out RBI single off of Tobias Myers in the fifth inning.     • Spencer Horwitz smacks two homers
      Spencer Horwitz went 2-for-3 with two home runs, two walks, two RBI, and three runs scored on Sunday against the Guardians.

      Advice: Horwitz had his best game of the season in this one. The two homers were each hit at least 102.9 MPH and great to see, but his ninth inning walk against Emmanuel Clase was especially impressive. He fought off seven pitches on his way to a 12-pitch at-bat as the tying run off one of the best relievers in baseball.     • Engaging in baseball activities
      Bogaerts (shoulder) resumed running the bases, taking light grounders and doing one-handed drills in the batting cage this past week, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Bogaerts broke his left shoulder while making a diving stop in the infield May 20 and remains on the 10-day IL. The veteran infielder isn't likely to return until July at the earliest, given that he has yet to take regular swings. When he does come back from the IL, Bogaerts indicated that he will adjust his swing to use a two-handed follow-through in order to protect his injured shoulder.
