Miller struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Miller took a blown save in his last outing, though it was because he allowed an inherited runner to score. He's struggled a bit lately, allowing nine runs (six earned) with a 16:7 K:BB across 12.1 innings over his last 10 appearances. He's still performing quite well in the closer role for the Athletics, pitching to a 2.20 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 57:12 K:BB over 32.2 innings while going 13-for-15 in save chances this year. Assad allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over five innings in a no-decision against San Francisco on Monday.

Advice: Assad needed 92 pitches to get through five frames, but he was effective during his time on the mound, limiting the Giants to just a fourth-inning run. However, the right-hander couldn't pick up his first win since mid-May, as Chicago's offense wasn't able to push across a run until after his departure. Musgrove (elbow) is expected to play catch Wednesday or Thursday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Advice: Musgrove will throw for the first time since he went on the injured list June 1 due to a bone spur in his right elbow. The right-hander acknowledged that his new slider may have contributed to the issue and indicated Saturday that he is considering how to alter either the grip or his wrist action on the pitch. Musgrove also shared that he is working to change the landing on his delivery in order to reduce the stress on his arm. The veteran hurler could still need surgery to remove the bone spur, but even if he avoids that scenario, he probably won't be ready to rejoin the Padres until late July. Bailey Ober allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings and got the win in the Twins’ 6-2 victory over the Athletics on Sunday.



Advice: Ober gave up six hits, walked two and struck out eight. The win was his sixth of the year. The lone run off of Ober came on a Daz Cameron home run in the seventh inning. Home runs have been a problem for him this season. Ober has allowed 1.48 HR/9, which has been a contributing factor as to why his ERA is 4.81 despite a 4.04 xFIP. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Athletics on the road next week.

Carlos Rodon struggled in Saturday night’s loss to the Red Sox, surrendering five runs on seven hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: The 31-year-old southpaw still managed to punch out seven batters on the evening while issuing three free passes. The Red Sox jumped on him in the opening inning, using run-scoring knocks from Tyler O’Neill, Connor Wong and Jaime Westbrook to push three runs across. They added another pair in the second on a two-run double by Rafael Devers. Rodon generated 18 swings and misses on 109 pitches on the night — eight of those on his fastball — while posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he totes an impressive 3.28 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and an 81/23 K/B ratio (85 innings) into a tough matchup against the Braves on Saturday. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:32 pm
