    • Luis Rengifo exits game with hand injury Wednesday
Luis Rengifo was removed from Wednesday night’s battle against the Athletics in the ninth inning due to an apparent hand injuy.

Advice: Rengifo appeared to injure his hand while swinging the bat on a foul ball in the ninth inning. Whatever the issue is, it was substantial enough to pull him from the game in the middle of an at-bat. The Angels should have an update on Rengifo’s status prior to Thursday’s series finale. • Exits with injury
Rengifo was removed from Wednesday's game versus Oakland due to an apparent injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Rengifo's hand seemed to be bothering him after he fouled off a pitch in the ninth inning, and he was immediately replaced at the plate following the incident. The specifics of his injury remain unknown, but the Angels will take a closer look at him and should offer more information after the game. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago

    • Bobby Witt Jr. on base three times in win
Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, two runs scored, and a walk on Wednesday against the Rays.

Advice: Witt paced the Royals in this one and was the engine for their offense. His third inning double got them on the board and a key walk in the seventh set Salvador Perez up for his huge two-run single to put this game out of reach. Witt remains one of the most productive and dependable players in baseball with a .314/.366/.543 slash line to go along with 13 home runs and 22 stolen bases. That’s not a bad first half at 24-years-old. Rotoworld Today, 8:13 pm
    • Erick Fedde completes six in win over Guardians
Erick Fedde struck out three and allowed one run over six innings on Wednesday in a win over the Guardians.

Advice: Fedde wasn’t overpowering in this one, but he got plenty of run support from Chicago’s lineup and managed to limit Cleveland’s offense to just three hits and a trio of walks over six frames. A third-inning sacrifice fly from David Fry, on the heels of a leadoff double by Guardians rookie Daniel Schneemann, represnted the lone tally against him in this one. The 31-year-old journeyman righty has settled in as a solid back-end rotation stabilizer for fantasy managers in his White Sox debut. He’ll carry a strong 3.13 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 94/28 K/BB ratio across 106 1/3 innings (18 starts) into a home outing against the Twins on Tuesday to close out the first half. Rotoworld Today, 6:19 pm
    • Bryce Harper leads N.L. All-Star vote getters
Bryce Harper led all National League players in voting for the All-Star Game, getting named to his eighth All-Star team.

Advice: What remains unclear is whether or not Harper — who is currently stationed on the injured list with a left hamstring strain, will be able to participate in the Mid-Summer Classic. Here’s who will join him in the starting lineup for the National League All-Stars (with their number of times making the All-Star team and starting in the game in parentheses): C: William Contreras (2 - 1x starter), 1B: Bryce Harper (8 - 7x starter), 2B: Ketel Marte (2 - 2x starter), SS: Trea Turner (3 - 2x starter), 3B: Alec Bohm (1 - 1x starter), DH: Shohei Ohtani (4 - 4x starter), OF: Christian Yelich (3 - 2x starter), Jurickson Profar (1 - 1x starter) and Fernando Tatis Jr. (2 - 2x starter). • Ryan Mountcastle (illness) returns to action
Ryan Mountcastle (illness) returned to the Orioles’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s battle against the Mariners.

Advice: Mountcastle sat out each of the team’s previous games due to illness, but he’s now feeling much better and is right back in there as the Orioles’ designated hitter and cleanup hitter. On the season, he’s hitting .273/.317/.460 with 11 homers and 40 RBI in 325 plate appearances over 78 games. Rotoworld Today, 3:39 pm
    • Back in lineup
Mountcastle (illness) will serve as Baltimore's designated hitter and bat fourth Wednesday against the Mariners, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: After missing two games while fighting off an illness, Mountcastle will now return to the starting nine against Logan Gilbert and the M's. Mountcastle had gone 4-for-17 with an RBI and a run scored in his last five games before getting sick. Rotowire.com Today, 3:31 pm
    • Pops 12th long ball
McCutchen went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Cardinals.

Advice: McCutchen has cooled considerably since mid-June, as he's hitting only .154 across his last 11 games. However, he managed his 12th homer of the season and second in his last five starts Tuesday, continuing a surprising resurgence of power. His ISO is currently .169, McCutchen's highest mark since the 2021 season. Rotowire.com Today, 9:54 am
    • Notches 15th save
Doval struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 15th save of the season in a 5-3 win over Atlanta.

Advice: The 26-year-old right-hander was in peak form, whiffing Adam Duvall with a 100.6 mph cutter to end the game. Doval blew his last save chance Friday, though, and consistency has been an issue for him all year -- through 33.2 innings, he's posted a 4.28 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 44:22 K:BB, a significant step backward from his ratios the prior two seasons.
