    • Fans six in win
      Fedde (5-1) picked up the win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing two runs on eight hits over six innings while striking out six.

      Advice: Fedde got himself into trouble early and often, surrendering leadoff hits in four of his six innings of work. However, the right-hander was able to limit the damage to just two runs, one of which came across in the opening frame. He threw only 12 first-pitch strikes (out of 26) but still managed to hang on for his first win since May 14 against the Nationals. Fedde has now logged quality starts in back-to-back outings and in three of his last five starts overall. He also carries an impressive 17:1 K:BB through three June starts.     • Erick Fedde hurls six strong in victory over ARI
      Erick Fedde went six innings while allowing two runs to get a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

      Advice: Fedde did allow eight hits, but he didn’t put anyone on via walk while striking out six. The right-hander gave up runs in the first and fifth inning and he was able to avoid the big inning for another strong outing for the 31-year-old. The White Sox have been a disaster, but Fedde has been an absolute bright spot with a 3.09 ERA through 87 1/3 innings. He’s scheduled to take on the Tigers on Friday.     • Rebounds with win, quality start
      Morton (4-3) earned the win over Tampa Bay on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over six innings.

      Advice: Morton had his swing-and-miss stuff working, racking up 22 whiffs among his 105 pitches. The veteran hurler fell behind by a run in the first inning but yielded only two hits while holding the Rays scoreless thereafter. This was a nice bounce-back for Morton after he surrendered five runs (four earned) over five innings against Washington in his previous start.     • Charlie Morton has vintage performance in win
      Charlie Morton allowed one run on three hits in six innings in a win over the Rays on Saturday.

      Advice: Morton looked like his old self, striking out eight and walking two. He induced 22 whiffs on 49 swings for a ridiculous 45 percent whiff rate and 35 percent CSW. It was perhaps the 40-year-old’s best start of the season, and he’ll look to keep it going next week in a tough showdown against the Yankees. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:02 pm
       
    • Fans six in Friday's loss
      Gausman (5-5) took the loss Friday as the Blue Jays fell 3-1 to the Guardians, giving up three runs on eight hits over 5.1 innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

      Advice: The right-hander's velocity was erratic all night -- his very first fastball to Steven Kwan to lead off the game clocked at only 89 mph, but one batter later he popped 94.4 mph against Andres Gimenez. Without consistent stuff, Gausman wound up getting tagged for five extra-base hits, including a Will Brennan solo shot in the fourth inning. He was able to minimize the damage, however, and Gausman's now given up three runs or fewer in five of his last six starts, producing a 3.26 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 38:6 K:BB through 38.2 innings over that stretch.       Allen (7-3) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over five-plus innings in a 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays. He struck out three.

      Advice: The lefty wasn't exactly efficient, tossing 47 of 84 pitches for strikes, but he blanked Toronto for five frames before back-to-back hits to lead off the sixth brought home Toronto's only run and chased Allen from the game. The 25-year-old has given up three runs or fewer in five of his last six outings, posting a 3.86 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 24:12 K:BB in 30.1 innings over that stretch.     • Logan Allen picks up seventh win against Blue Jays
      Logan Allen pitched five innings of one-run ball Friday in a victory over the Blue Jays.

      Advice: The Blue Jays have no offensive approach, which worked in Allen’s favor tonight, allowing him to succeed in spite of his three strikeouts and three walks. It went as Allen’s seventh win, even though his ERA stands at 5.30. His luck to date in the victory department doesn’t make him any better of a bet in mixed leagues going forward.     • Kevin Gausman surrenders three runs in loss
      Kevin Gausman lost to the Guardians after allowing three runs in 5 1/3 innings on Friday.

      Advice: Gausman’s velocity was well down for a second straight start tonight, even though he was working with an extra day off. It’s a definite cause for concern at this point; there’d be much more reason to expect Gausman to bounce back while throwing 94 mph than there is while he’s throwing 92. If there’s reason for optimism, it’s that’s he’s occasionally dealt with fluctuating velocity in the past. Rotoworld Friday, 7:13 pm

      Falter (3-4) took the loss against St. Louis on Wednesday, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five batters over four innings.

      Advice: Falter wasn't hit particularly hard -- seven of the eight knocks against him were singles -- but the constant stream of baserunners was too much for him to overcome. This was the second straight outing during which the left-hander lasted just four innings after he went at least six frames in each of his four previous starts. Falter's ERA was at a solid 3.22 through the end of May, but with two straight poor starts to begin June, it now sits at 3.86 overall. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:51 pm
