    • Showcasing power
Langford went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Royals.

Advice: Langford provided insurance when he launched a grand slam in the eighth inning, giving the team a six-run lead heading into the final frame. Until this week, the rookie had been held to one inside-the-park home run, which was uncharacteristic for the prospect that carried 70-grade power. That all changed this week; Saturday's granny was the second outside-the-park home run this week for Langford, who is 7-for-15 with four extra-base hits and nine RBI over the last four contests. Since returning from a three-week stint on the injured list in May, Langford is slashing .299/.341/.481 with eight extra-base hits, 19 RBI and six steals over 21 games. • Hits 10th homer
Schneider went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Schneider has gone 7-for-28 (.250) with three homers over his last eight games. He's usually hit leadoff this season, but he was dropped to sixth in the order Saturday, with Isiah Kiner-Falefa moving up to the top spot and slugging two homers of his own. Schneider's .227 batting average isn't great for a leadoff hitter, though his .319 on-base percentage is a bit more passable. He's added 10 homers, 35 RBI, 32 runs scored, three stolen bases and 15 doubles over 251 plate appearances. While he could ultimately stick lower in the order, Schneider's short-term playing time should be safe after Daulton Varsho left Saturday's contest with back soreness. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:41 pm

    • Pops homer in win
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Ramirez put the Guardians ahead for good with a third-inning blast, which was his first extra-base hit since June 9. He's gone 8-for-33 (.242) over his last eight games, but he's made up for the quieter bat by adding four stolen bases in that span. Overall, the star third baseman has a .271/.330/.528 slash line with 19 homers, 67 RBI, 56 runs scored and 14 steals through 71 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:08 pm

    • Homers, drives in two in win
Morel went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Mets.

Advice: Morel hit an RBI single in the first inning and crushed a 446-foot solo home run in the third. Morel's .209 average so far in June is actually his highest in any month this season, and the homer was his fourth in 19 June games. The 24-year-old is batting just .202 to date but does have 14 home runs and 43 RBI over 267 at-bats in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:43 pm

    • Reports soreness during bullpen
Kershaw (shoulder) reported soreness during Saturday's bullpen session and could have his rehab outing scheduled for Tuesday pushed back, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Kershaw completed three innings in a rehab outing at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday and was expected to jump up to Triple-A Oklahoma City for Tuesday's outing. However, he may need more time between rehab appearances after feeling soreness in his shoulder during a bullpen session Saturday. Even if Kershaw does have to push back his next outing, he wasn't expected back until near the All-Star break regardless. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:44 pm

    • Clayton Kershaw dealing with soreness in shoulder
Dodgers’ skipper Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Clayton Kershaw reported feeling soreness in his left shoulder following a bullpen session earlier in the day.

Advice: It’s not unusual for a pitcher to feel some soreness as they’re getting stretched out after such a long layoff, but he’ll be monitored closely over the next few days. Roberts noted that it’s possible Kershaw’s next minor league rehab start — scheduled for Tuesday at Triple-A Oklahoma City — will need to be pushed back. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:34 pm

    • Ramirez belts 19th home run in win Saturday
Jose Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Ramirez’ home run was his 19th of the season. He took Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios deep with a man on in the third inning. Ramirez’ excellent season continues. He’s hitting .271 with a .858 OPS and 67 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:08 pm

    • Landford has two hits, grand slam in win Saturday
Wyatt Langford went 2-for-4 with a grand slam against the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Langford’s home run was just his third of the year, but he’s been heating up at the plate lately. Since returning from the injured list, he’s 23-for-77 (.298) with two home runs and 19 RBI in 21 games. Langford still has plenty of time over the rest of the season to live up to the lofty preseason expectations. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:41 pm

    • Christopher Morel wallops 446-foot homer in win
Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday, powering the Cubs to an 8-1 blowout victory over the Mets.

Advice: Morel contributed a run-scoring single as part of Chicago’s five-run opening frame against Mets starter Tylor Megill before clobbering a gargantuan 446-foot solo shot to left-center field -- his 14th round-tripper of the season -- a couple innings later. It was a much-needed tater for Morel, who hadn’t gone deep since June 11. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:19 pm
