    • Idle Saturday
Jones isn't in the Rockies' lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: Jones has gone just 1-for-13 with seven strikeouts over his last four games, and the Rockies will give him a chance to clear his head Saturday. Sam Hilliard will get the nod to start in left field instead while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:49 pm

    • White Sox plan to limit Garrett Crochet’s workload
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol told reporters Saturday that Garrett Crochet will likely have a limited pitch count in his final start prior to the All-Star break.

Advice: Crochet has been the biggest name floated as a possible trade candidate in the coming weeks and it’s going to take a considerable haul to meet Chicago’s asking price. The 25-year-old southpaw has managed to stay healthy and finally put everything together in a stellar first-half breakthrough, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that the White Sox are going to limit his workload leading up to the trade deadline in a few weeks. • Getting breather Saturday
Morel isn't in the Cubs' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: Morel has put together a three-game hitting streak, though he has also struck out six times in 12 at-bats over that span. He'll take a day to rest Saturday while David Bote fills in at third base, batting eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 8:54 am

    • Hit streak reaches double digits
Seager went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double, two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 3-0 win over Tampa Bay.

Advice: Seager lashed a two-run double in the third inning and came around to score on a Nathaniel Lowe single. The double extended Seager's hit streak to 10 games, during which he's 13-for-38 (.342) with five doubles, a home run, five RBI and five additional runs. Rotowire.com Today, 7:05 am

    • Tagged with loss
Bibee (7-3) yielded four runs on six hits and two walks over 4.2 innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Giants.

Advice: Bibee got off to a brutal start, coughing up three runs in the first inning. He snapped his streak of three consecutive quality starts with his shortest outing since May 8. Bibee went 3-1 with a terrific 40:4 K:BB in five June starts and was 5-1 over his previous 10 outings before Friday's loss. He now owns a 3.67 ERA with a 115:24 K:BB through 98 frames. Bibee's next outing is projected to be in Detroit. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:09 pm

    • Max Fried can’t stop Phillies’ bats
Max Fried allowed 11 hits and five earned runs in six innings of work on Friday against the Phillies. He struck out four and walked one in a loss.

Advice: This was a pivotal game for the Braves as they try to claw their way back into the NL East race and Fried simply did not have it. He lived in the heart of the zone and the Phillies made him pay time and time again. They had base runners in five out of six innings and looked incredibly comfortable in the box all night. Fried was fortunate to get through this start with only five earned runs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm

    • Coughs up five runs
Fried (7-4) allowed five runs on 11 hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Phillies.

Advice: Fried worked through three scoreless frames before beginning to unravel. He gave up three runs in the fourth inning and two more in the sixth. Of the five runs he allowed, four came via a pair of two-run shots from Trea Turner. Fried had given up just three runs over his previous three starts but saw his season ERA jump from 2.91 to 3.18 after Friday's hiccup. His next start is lined up to be in Arizona. • Bryan Woo (hamstring) to make rehab start Saturday
Bryan Woo (hamsting) will make a minor league rehab start at High-A Everett on Saturday.

Advice: The Mariners are hopeful that he’ll be able to throw around 45-50 pitches in the ballgame. Woo also participated in pitcher’s fielding practice without issue on Friday. He won’t be ready to rejoin the Mariners’ rotation next week, but it sounds like he could be ready to go immediately following the All-Star break. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:49 pm
