    • Picks up second win Sunday
Munoz (2-2) got the win against the Astros on Sunday, firing 1.1 perfect innings during which he recorded a strikeout.

Advice: Munoz continued what is turning into his best stretch of pitching this season, locating eight of his 11 pitches for strikes on his way to his ninth scoreless effort in the last 10 appearances, including his fifth straight. The right-hander has whittled his ERA and WHIP to 2.03 and 1.13, respectively, and he'd also recorded saves in three consecutive appearances before Sunday's victory. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:40 am
    • Tosses scoreless frame
Jansen pitched one scoreless inning, allowing one hit in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Jansen was locked into appearing in Sunday's contest no matter what, and he worked around an error by his defense and a single for a scoreless ninth inning. The 36-year-old is firmly locked into being Boston's closer in 2024, posting a 1.69 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 14 strikeouts over 10.2 innings in 11 appearances while going 5-for-6 on save opportunities so far. • David Robertson gets first save in 10th inning
David Robertson pitched a hitless 10th with a one-run lead for his first save Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Kirby Yates wound up with the win after pitching scoreless eighth and ninth innings. It’s a good reminder that even though Robertson was bypassed in favor of Yates after José Leclerc was removed from the closing gig, he’s still intriguing in mixed leagues. He has a 1.02 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:57 pm
    • Will pitch Sunday
Jansen, who hasn't pitched the last six days, will be used in Sunday's game against the Twins, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: The Red Sox have a day off Monday and will prevent Jansen from the absence extending any further, so the closer is expected to pitch one way or another. He's pitched just once over the last nine days. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:37 am
    • Hurls six shutout frames in win
King (3-3) earned the win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing six hits over six shutout innings while striking out three.

Advice: King surrendered hits to three of the first four batters he faced in the contest but was able to work his way out of it before retiring the next 11 batters in succession. The right-hander didn't issue a walk for the first time this season, though his three strikeouts on the night also marked a season low. King had allowed at least four runs in back-to-back starts coming in and in three of his last four overall, taking three consecutive losses over that stretch. However, he's now posted three quality starts on the season and has gone at least five innings in five of his last six outings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:58 am

    • Michael King fires six scoreless in win Saturday
Michael King was outstanding in Saturday night’s victory over the Diamondbacks, scattering six hits over six innings of scoreless baseball.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander struck out three batters on the evening and didn’t issue a free pass. All six hits that he allowed in the ballgame were singles, and the Diamondbacks never really mounted a serious scoring threat against him. He got six swings and misses on 91 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 23 percent. For the season, he now holds a 4.29 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 43/21 K/BB ratio over 42 innings in his first eight appearances (seven starts). He’ll look to replicate this fine outing when he toes the slab against the Dodgers on Friday night. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:07 pm

    • Bounces back with quality start
Crawford (2-1) earned the win over San Francisco on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six batters over seven innings.

Advice: Crawford took his first loss of the campaign his previous time out when he allowed season highs of four runs (three earned) and 10 hits against the Cubs. The right-hander got back on track with a strong outing Wednesday, notching his third quality start and second victory of the season. Crawford has been outstanding for the Red Sox early in the campaign, ranking fifth among qualified starters with a 1.56 ERA through 40.1 innings. He's added a 40:13 K:BB and 1.07 WHIP to emerge as one of the league's most pleasant surprises thus far. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:10 pm

    • Kutter Crawford fans six in victory over Giants
Kutter Crawford delivered a strong performance in Wednesday night’s victory over the Giants, allowing two runs on four hits over his seven frames.

Advice: Crawford punched out six batters on the evening while surrendering a pair of free passes. He served up a solo homer to Tom Murphy leading off the third inning, then allowed an RBI bunt single to Mike Yastrzemski in the fourth inning. That was the extent of the damage against him. Crawford got 12 swings and misses on 92 pitches in the contest, six on his cutter, while registering a CSW of 29 percent. Now 2-1 on the season, he’ll carry a brilliant 1.56 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and a 40/13 K/BB ratio (40 1/3 innings) into a tough matchup against the Braves in Atlanta on Tuesday. • Goes five outs for save
Munoz completed a five-out save in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Atlanta, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out three in the process.

Advice: Munoz was forced into the game a bit earlier than expected after Ryne Stanek allowed three base hits to turn things into a 3-1 ballgame. Munoz did allow an inherited runner to score on a throwing error but was dominant otherwise and retired the side in order in the ninth with two strikeouts. Tuesday was the fourth time this season Munoz has pitched more than three outs and it was the third consecutive save he's converted, with all three coming over the last five days. The 25-year-old now owns a 2.25 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB in 12 innings thus far. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:06 am
