• Homers in Tuesday's loss
Winker went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 9-7 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Winker took Adam Mazur deep in the third inning to cap off a four-run rally for the Nationals. That was Winker's ninth homer of the year and his third over the last seven contests. The outfielder is up to a .264/.382/.419 slash line with 36 RBI, 37 runs scored and 12 stolen bases through 76 games this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:01 pm

  • CJ Abrams reaches five times in loss to Padres
CJ Abrams went 3-for-3 with two walks Tuesday against the Padres.

Advice: It’s too bad this netted Abrams only one run and one RBI, even though the Nationals scored seven times. Unfortunately, the play from Abrams in this game that everyone will see was him being thrown out after lazily going back to first base following a single. He was also picked off first base in the game. He later appeared to have a stolen base, only to wind up getting sent back to first base because the umpire interfered with the catcher’s throw. • Nick Gonzales has three hits in win
Nick Gonzales went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: It was a much-needed strong game for Gonzales, who came into today hitting just .224 in 20 games in June. The 25-year-old is still barreling the ball 11 percent in 2024 but his groundball rate has gone up to 52 percent in June and he’s pulling the ball more, which has led to more rollover groundballs and fewer line drives all over the field. He remains a consistent part of the Pirates lineup but more games like this would be nice to see. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:29 pm

  • George Springer finds power stroke in win
George Springer went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 9-4 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: It was Springer’s sixth home run of the season and first since June 4th. Springer only has three home runs since April 24th, so we’re not looking at a power surge here. It’s also Springer’s first multi-hit game since June 3rd. It’s certainly nice to see, but the 34-year-old is still just 13-for-78 (.167) in June so we’ll need to see a few more games like this before we believe he’s figuring things out. • Devers homers in loss to Blue Jays
Rafael Devers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Advice: Devers’ home run was an absolute shot, traveling 467 feet at 111.2 mph. He also had a 112.6 mph double later in the game. The Red Sox star now has 16 home runs and 42 RBI to go along with a .285/.368/.559 slash line. It’s shaping up to be another tremendous season for the 27-year-old. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:00 pm

  • Getting Tuesday off
Flores isn't in the Giants' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Flores will take a seat Tuesday after going 0-for-4 with an RBI and a walk during Monday's victory. David Villar will take over at first base and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:39 pm

  • Taking seat Tuesday
Marsh is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Detroit.

Advice: Lefty Tarik Skubal is taking the mound for the Tigers, so Marsh will start Tuesday's contest on the bench. Cristian Pache will man center field and bat eighth while Whit Merrifield starts in left field. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:15 pm

  • Ends drought on basepaths
Young went 0-for-3 with a run scored and his 18th stolen base of the season in Monday's extra-inning loss to the Padres.

Advice: The center fielder was hit by a pitch to lead off the fifth inning, stole third base after a CJ Abrams infield single, then trotted home on a Joey Meneses knock. Young had racked up seven hits over the prior three games, and through 20 games in June he's slashing .262/.314/.354; however, Monday's steal was surprisingly his first of the month in three attempts. • Clubs eighth homer
Riley went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: The slugging third baseman took Lance Lynn deep in the fifth inning, but it was the only extra-base hit Atlanta managed on the night. Riley is having one of his patented hot streaks, launching five of his eight homers on the season over the last 10 games while slashing .441/.513/1.000 with four doubles, 10 RBI and 10 runs.
