• Placed on full-season IL
Hopkins underwent a right shoulder labrum repair procedure this week and was placed on the full-season injured list by Double-A Erie on Friday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Advice: Hopkins was sent to Detroit's Triple-A affiliate in February, and the later went down to Erie at the Double-A level. The righty outfielder will now miss the season due to his shoulder procedure but not before slashing .190/.326/.329 with four RBI and two homes runs for the Seawolves. Rotowire.com Today, 2:17 pm

  • Reinstated from IL
The Athletics reinstated Andujar (knee) from the injured list Friday.

Advice: Andujar has been on the injured list all season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee shortly before Opening Day. It had been previously reported that he was in line to make several more rehab starts at Triple-A Las Vegas, but the A's believe the 29-year-old is healthy enough to return from his assignment early. In five games with Las Vegas, Andujar went 7-for-18 with six RBI and scored three runs. Brett Harris was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 2:12 pm
  • Out of Friday's lineup
Jeffers is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus the Rangers.

Advice: Jeffers started the previous six games but went 2-for-22 with 10 strikeouts during that stretch, and he'll take a seat for Friday's series opener. Christian Vazquez will step in behind the plate and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 2:12 pm

  • Likely to return Monday
Atlanta manager Brian Snitker noted Friday that Riley (side) is likely to remain out until Monday's series opener against the Nationals, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Riley has been sidelined due a left intercostal strain he sustained May 12 against the Mets. Despite the length of the injury, Atlanta did not place the 27-year-old third baseman on the 10-day IL, and Riley appears ready to return to the lineup following the weekend series against the Pirates. Prior to his injury, Riley was slashing .245/.319/.388 with eight doubles, three home runs and 18 RBI over 163 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 2:11 pm

  • Athletics option Brett Harris back to Triple-A
Athletics optioned INF Brett Harris to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Advice: The 25-year-old socked three home runs in his limited time with the big league club, but he did so while slashing an anemic .116/.291/.326 with five RBI and a 13/9 K/BB ratio over his 55 plate appearances. Miguel Andujar was activated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 2:09 pm

  • Athletics activate Miguel Andujar from 10-day IL
Athletics activated INF/OF Miguel Andujar from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: The 29-year-old slugger has been sidelined since the end of March following surgery on his right knee. Andujar hit .389/.421/.611 with four doubles, six RBI and a 2/1 K/BB ratio over 19 plate appearances during his five-game rehab assignment at Triple-A Las Vegas. He could wind up being a sneaky power option in deeper mixed leagues if he finds regular playing time with the A’s. Rotoworld Today, 2:07 pm
  • Not in Friday's lineup
Cowser is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Advice: Cowser started the previous 15 games but will head to the bench after he posted a .224/.350/.306 slash line during that stretch. Austin Hays will take over in left field and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:46 pm

  • Receiving breather Friday
Rutschman is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Advice: Rutschman started the previous four games but will sit Friday amid a 3-for-21 slump. James McCann will step in behind the plate to catch ace Corbin Burnes. Rotowire.com Today, 1:43 pm
  • Davis Schneider absent from Jays lineup on Friday
Davis Schneider is not in the Blue Jays’ starting lineup for Friday night’s matchup against the Tigers in Motown.

Advice: The versatile 25-year-old has settled in as the team’s regular leadoff hitter had had started each of the team’s last 15 ballgames, so this looks like nothing more than a regular day of rest for him. Cavan Biggio will start in his place at second base while Daulton Varsho will slide up to the leadoff spot for the Jays against right-hander Kenta Maeda. Rotoworld Today, 1:42 pm
