    • Jazz Chisholm hits solo homer in win
Jazz Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Wednesday against the Brewers.

Advice: Chisholm’s first-inning home run wound up being the only run scored in the pitcher’s duel between Jesús Luzardo and Freddy Peralta. That was his second lead-off home run this season and the seventh of his career as he’s very casually up to seven homers and nine steals on the campaign. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:49 pm
    • Sitting against southpaw
Busch is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: With a tough southpaw in Max Fried on the mound for Atlanta, the lefty-hitting Busch will retreat to the bench. Patrick Wisdom will replace Busch at first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:43 pm

    • Dealing with elbow discomfort
Means was removed from Wednesday's start against the Cardinals due to left elbow discomfort and will undergo medical testing, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The injury wasn't immediately reported as the left-hander's departure after three innings coincided with a rain delay. Means entered the contest with an average fastball velocity of 90.9 mph this season, but he sat two ticks below that Wednesday. The 31-year-old missed most of last season while rehabbing from Tommy John surgery and a back injury, so another elbow issue could be a significant concern. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:19 pm

    • John Means exits with elbow discomfort Wednesday
John Means was pulled from Wednesday’s start against the Cardinals after three innings due to discomfort in his elbow.

Advice: Means exhibited diminished velocity through the first three innings on Wednesday and was then removed after a lengthy rain delay. Orioles’ manager Brandon Hyde told reporters afterwards though that Means would have been done regardless of the rain. He’ll undergo further testing on his elbow to determine the severity of the issue. Fingers crossed. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:03 pm

    • John Means struggles with velocity on Wednesday
Despite diminished velocity, John Means tossed three scoreless innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Cardinals.

Advice: Means was probably done for the day regardless after a lengthy rain delay halted play in the middle of the fourth inning, but it’s worth noting that the MASN broadcast showed him shaking his arm on several occasions and his average velocity was down to just 88.9 mph from 90.9 mph earlier this season. He allowed just one hit, issued a pair of walks and struck out one. There should be some clarity on his status at some point in the near future. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:49 pm

    • Alex Bregman goes 0-for-4 against Angels
Alex Bregman went 0-for-4 as the Astros’ cleanup hitter Wednesday to finish hitless in the series against the Angels.

Advice: Bregman had three homers in two games against the A’s early last week, prompting the Astros to return him to the cleanup spot, but since then, he’s 4-for-31 with one RBI in eight games. It’s hard to imagine Bregman remaining this bad, but he’s long posted subpar BABIPs and his typically average exit velocity numbers are worse than usual right now. The rebound might not be as strong as most would hope. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:22 pm
    • Jorge Soler gets dropped to sixth in Giants lineup
After leading off the last four games, Jorge Soler has been dropped to sixth in the Giants lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: Luis Matos, who hit third last night, is in the leadoff spot tonight. Soler is 4-for-18 with a couple of walks since returning from the injured list last week. He’s at .204/.295/.358 overall in 38 games this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:50 pm

    • Takes seat Wednesday
O'Neill is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Tampa Bay.

Advice: O'Neill is getting a routine day off after starting in the last five games and 13 of the previous 14 contests. Rob Refsnyder will serve as the Red Sox's designated hitter, with Jarren Duran and Wilyer Abreu covering the corner-outfield spots. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:23 pm
    • Collects save
Helsley walked one and struck out one in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Orioles.

Advice: The game was suspended due to inclement weather Tuesday and resumed Wednesday, which likely means he'll be unavailable for Wednesday's regularly scheduled contest. Nolan Gorman hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning to give the Cardinals a lead, and Helsley was able to close it out for his 15th save of the season. He extended his scoreless streak to 11 innings and now has a 1.23 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 24:4 K:BB over 22 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:20 am
