    • Registers steal Friday
Winn went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Friday's 11-2 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Winn appears to be finding his swing again -- he's gone 4-for-14 (.286) over his last five contests. He's still gone 20 games without a multi-hit effort after having seven of them in his first 15 contests this season. The shortstop is 6-for-7 on stolen base attempts and is batting .267 with a .683 OPS through 120 plate appearances on the year. Rotowire.com 55 minutes ago

    • Luis Arraez hits walk-off single against Dodgers
Luis Arraez hit a walk-off RBI single to give the Padres a 2-1 win over the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: With the score tied 1-1, Arraez picked up his first game-winning hit as a member of the Padres with a single to score Tyler Wade off Michael Grove. The 27-year-old has just seven RBI in his time with the Marlins and San Diego, but he should have more chances to drive in runs — even at the top of the lineup — now that he’s not playing for one of the worst teams in baseball. • Kyle Tucker blasts 12th homer in win over Tigers
Kyle Tucker blasted his league-leading 12th home run on Friday night, helping to power the Astros to a 5-2 victory over the Tigers in the opener of their three-game set in Motown.

Advice: Tucker finally got the Astros on the board in this one with his 409-foot (106.0 mph EV) solo shot off of Casey Mize in the sixth inning. He also drew a pair of walks and scored twice in the contest, finishing the night 1-for-3. On the season, the 27-year-old superstar outfielder is slashing .270/.391/.574 to go with the aforementioned 12 long balls, 26 RBI and six stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 6:08 pm

    • Lung Hoo Lee (foot) remains out of Giants’ lineup
Jung Hoo Lee (foot) remains out of the Giants’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Reds.

Advice: Lee also sat out Thursday’s game due to a sore foot. Giants’ skipper Bob Melvin said Friday that Lee may need an additional day off on Saturday, but that he should be able to return after that and won’t require a trip to the injured list. Let’s hope that’s the case and it doesn’t turn into an Jorge Soler (shoulder) situation. Rotoworld Today, 4:41 pm

    • Masataka Yoshida (thumb) will not need surgery
Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora announced Friday that Masataka Yoshida will not require surgery on his injured left thumb.

Advice: He’s still going to be shut down for a couple of weeks before he starts swinging a bat again, but overall this is encouraging news for the Red Sox and for fantasy managers. Yoshida has been shelved since the beginning of May. He has hit .275/.348/.388 with a pair of homers, 11 RBI and an 11/6 K/BB ratio over 89 plate appearances in 24 games on the season. • Progressing through injury
Phillips (hamstring) was out on the field playing catch Friday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Advice: Phillips was placed on the 15-day IL on Sunday due to a Grade 1 right hamstring strain he sustained May 3 against Atlanta. He is eligible to return May 19, and the right-hander might only miss the minimum. Phillips has eight saves with a 0.66 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB over 13.2 innings this season. • Evan Carter sits against another southpaw Friday
Evan Carter is once again on the Rangers’ bench against an opposing southpaw on Friday night.

Advice: It’s the third time this week that the Rangers have faced a left-handed starter, and the third time that the 21-year-old outfielder has found himself on the bench. Ezequiel Duran will start in his place in left field and will bat seventh against Austin Gomber and the Rockies at Coors Field. Rotoworld Today, 2:48 pm

    • Nearing throwing program
Manager Pat Murphy said Friday that Williams (back) is scheduled to begin playing catch within the next two weeks, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Williams will be looked at by a doctor within the next few days, which will help determine how far away he is from beginning a throwing program. Though he seems to be trending in the right direction, the 29-year-old closer is still not expected back until around the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 2:42 pm

    • Won't need surgery
Yoshida got a third opinion on his left thumb and said Friday that the injury wouldn't require surgery, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Yoshida is battling a strained left thumb and, up until this point, surgery was not off the table. After seeing his third specialist, it's been decided that he'll be able to go straight into rehab without it. Manager Alex Cora said it will still be weeks until Yoshida can resume swinging a bat, per Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald. Rotowire.com Today, 12:37 pm
