He's still not providing the power expected of him and has just seven doubles and two homers during that stretch, and while he's in the 98th percentile in average exit velocity at 94.2 mph and 99th percentile in hard-hit rate this season, an average launch angle of 6.1 degrees -- down from 10.5 degrees last year -- is limiting his fantasy production.     • X-rays come back clean
      Ginkel is day-to-day after X-rays on his left knee came back negative following Saturday's 10-5 win over the Mets, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports Saturday.

      Advice: Ginkel took a 98.3 mile-per-hour comebacker to the inside of his left knee during his relief appearance in the sixth inning and was immediately lifted from the contest. Fortunately for Ginkel, he seems to be dealing with nothing more than bruising to his leg, and he disclosed after the game that he's already feeling better. Manager Torey Lovullo expressed optimism that Ginkel could be available out of the bullpen as soon as Sunday's series finale with the Mets, though the Diamondbacks may prefer to stay away from him for another day or two to afford him additional healing time.       Vladimir Guerrero Jr. swiped his second base of the season and scored the Blue Jays’ lone run in Saturday’s loss to the Pirates.

      Advice: The 25-year-old slugger smacked a one-out single off of Mitch Keller in the sixth inning, advanced to second on a line drive off the bat of Bo Bichette and scored the Jays’ only run on a two-out RBI single by Dan Vogelbach. He also drew a walk in the opening inning and swiped second base, but was left stranded there.       Singer (illness) is feeling better but still needs a few days to recover strength, potentially slotting in to start Wednesday in Cleveland according to manager Matt Quatraro, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Singer was scratched from his last scheduled start Thursday versus the Twins due to an illness, but he now appears to be on track to return to the mound relatively soon. The right-hander is in the midst of a career year with Kansas City, producing a 2.63 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 64 strikeouts over 61.2 innings in his first 11 starts of 2024.
