    • Taking seat Wednesday
Nido is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After catching seven innings of the Mets' 6-3 win Tuesday night, Nido will get a breather Wednesday as the NL East rivals wrap up their series with a day game. Luis Torrens will check in behind the plate for Nido on Wednesday. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago
    • Mashes homer No. 10
De La Cruz went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: He got the Marlins on the board with a solo shot off Ryan Pepiot in the first inning before adding an RBI fielder's choice in the seventh. De La Cruz snapped a 14-game power drought with the performance, a stretch in which he'd hit just .226 (12-for-53) with one RBI. On the season, the 27-year-old is slashing .248/.304/.412 with 10 homers, 27 RBI and 28 runs in 60 contests. Rotowire.com 23 minutes ago
    • Hitting bench against lefty again
McNeil is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The Mets have opposed left-handed starting pitchers in three straight games, and the lefty-hitting McNeil has been on the bench for each of those contests. McNeil hasn't been a strict platoon player for much of his tenure with the Mets, but manager Carlos Mendoza has chosen to limit the 32-year-old's exposure to southpaws while he's mustered a modest .275 wOBA over 69 plate appearances against lefties on the season. McNeil hasn't fared much better against right-handed pitching either (.281 wOBA in 155 plate appearances), but the Mets haven't offered any indication that he's at risk of losing out on starts in those matchups. • Belts fifth homer
Springer went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Orioles.

Advice: He supplied the Blue Jays' only offense in a 10-1 rout by taking Corbin Burnes deep in the seventh inning. Springer appears to be turning things around after his rough start to the season -- he's hit safely in seven of the last eight games, batting .385 (10-for-26) with two of his five homers on the year and an impressive 7:1 BB:K. • Sitting after three straight starts
Goodman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Advice: With Kris Bryant day-to-day with a back injury, playing time has opened up of late for Goodman, but the latter hasn't been able to take advantage of the opportunity. While starting in each of the last three games, Goodman went 0-for-9 with three strikeouts and will now move to the bench for Wednesday's series finale even though Bryant remains out of the lineup. • Stuck with loss Tuesday
Cabrera (2-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Orioles, getting charged with three runs on a hit and a walk over two-thirds of an inning.

Advice: Trevor Richards gave Toronto two perfect innings as the opener, but Cabrera hit Colton Cowser with a pitch to begin the third and things went downhill from there. Cabrera has been tagged for runs in three of his last six appearances, and on the season he carries a 5.48 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 13:15 K:BB through 23 innings as he slips into a low-leverage role. • Receiving rare day off
Doyle is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Doyle will exit the starting nine for the first time since May 19 and just the third time all season, opening up center field for Jake Cave. The Rockies are likely just giving Doyle a breather for a day game after a night game while he's in the midst of a minor slump at the plate. Over his last five starts, Doyle has gone 3-for-15 with four strikeouts against two walks. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

    • Remains on bench Wednesday
Bryant (back) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Bryant will hit the bench for a third game in a row while he continues to manage a sore back. Jacob Stallings will pick up a start behind the dish in the series finale versus Cincinnati while top backstop Elias Diaz fills Bryant's usual spot at designated hitter. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

    • Start could be pushed to Friday
The Orioles are considering pushing Bradish's next scheduled start back a day to Friday in Tampa Bay, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: Cade Povich will join Baltimore's taxi squad and looks in line to be called up from Triple-A Norfolk to start against the Blue Jays on Thursday, which had been Bradish's turn. Bradish doesn't seem to be battling any physical issue, but rather the team is simply looking to give him a little extra rest. Bradish is coming off his worst start of the season, having allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks over 2.2 frames against the Rays this past Saturday. Rotowire.com 41 minutes ago
