    • Orelvis Martinez hit with 80-game PED suspension
Blue Jays top prospect Orelvis Martinez has received an 80-game suspension after testing positive for a performance enhancing substance.

Advice: Wow. According to a team statement, Martinez tested positive for clomiphene, a performance-enhancing substance. Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins added “We were both surprised and disappointed to learn of Orelvis Martinez’s suspension. We will do everything in our power to ensure Orelvis has learned from this mistake. Orelvis has our support and we know he will get through this.” The 22-year-old top prospect made his big-league debut earlier this week, going 1-for-3 at the dish, after posting an .867 OPS with 16 homers across 63 games this season for Triple-A Buffalo. He can be dropped in all re-draft formats as his season is ostensibly over. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:23 am

    • Reds recall infielder Livan Soto on Sunday
Reds recalled INF Livan Soto from Triple-A Louisville.

Advice: Soto was claimed off waivers back in mid-April from the Orioles and will be making his Cincinnati debut when he gets into a contest. The 24-year-old infielder got into 22 games for the Angels from 2022 to 2023. He’s a non-factor for fantasy purposes, but represents a solid bench depth option in the big leagues. • Recalled to majors
The Reds recalled Soto from Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

Advice: Soto has remained at Louisville since he was claimed off waivers from Baltimore in April, slashing .299/.393/.372 with 19 RBI across 191 plate appearances. He doesn't have a clear path to playing time in Cincinnati's infield, so he'll likely occupy the bench as a depth piece. Austin Wynns was designated for assignment in order to clear a spot on the active roster. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:08 am

    • Goes deep Saturday
Kim went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run in Saturday's 6-4 victory against Milwaukee.

Advice: Kim hit a fourth-inning solo shot that gave San Diego a 4-0 lead. The shortstop also singled in the contest, giving him his first multi-hit performance in over two weeks. Kim is slashing .231/.338/.462 with three homers, 12 RBI, nine runs, two stolen bases and an 11:8 BB:K through 20 games in June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:01 am

    • Goes yard again in loss
Abrams went 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Abrams doubled in his second at-bat before coming around to score Washington's first run of the contest on a Lane Thomas single. The shortstop would then add a leadoff homer in the fifth to cut Colorado's lead down to one run, giving him 12 long balls on the season. Abrams has now logged multiple hits in three consecutive games and is batting .361 in June with three homers, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored. He's also struck out just twice over his last eight games while drawing four walks. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:33 am
    • Gets call-up from Triple-A
The Yankees recalled Peraza from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday.

Advice: Peraza will join the big club as a replacement on the 26-man active roster for designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton, who was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a left hamstring strain. After opening the season on the IL with a shoulder injury sustained during spring training, Peraza joined the Yankees' Triple-A club on May 19 and had played there ever since, slashing .178/.313/.215 with one home run and four stolen bases in 128 plate appearances. Given that his production at Triple-A didn't necessarily warrant a call-up, Peraza is unlikely to serve as little more than a depth option for the Yankees while he's in the majors. • Yankees summon Oswald Peraza on Sunday
Yankees recalled INF Oswald Peraza from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Advice: Peraza will be making his season debut for New York when he gets into a game after missing the first couple months of the year due to a shoulder strain that he suffered back in spring training. It’s easy to recall his struggles at the highest level over the last few years as he’s failed to carve out a permanent role for the Yankees, but he’s still just 24 years old. It’s too early to give up completely. Still, fantasy managers can take a wait-and-see approach for now to see if he finally puts it together. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:09 am

    • Edmundo Sosa out Sunday with left elbow contusion
Edmundo Sosa (elbow) is not in the lineup for Sunday’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It doesn’t come as much of a surprise to see Sosa on the bench following his early exit from Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks being hit by a pitch on the left elbow. The versatile 28-year-old is day-to-day for now and will probably be ready to return in a couple days, if not sooner. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:56 am

    • Homers, reaches four times
Merrill went 3-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk in Saturday's win over Milwaukee.

Advice: Merrill singled in his first at-bat before crushing a three-run shot off Carlos Rodriguez in the fourth to put San Diego on the board. The shortstop would reach four times on the night and has now recorded multiple hits in three of his last four games. He's also homered in three of his last four and in seven of his last 10 while posting at least one RBI in four straight. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:45 am
