Falter (2-2) allowed five runs on six hits over five innings Monday, striking out five and taking a loss against Oakland.

Advice: Falter gave up one run through three innings before the Athletics plated two runs in each of the fourth and fifth frames. The 27-year-old southpaw had allowed just four runs over his previous four starts (23 innings) before Monday's rough outing. On a better note, he forced 11 swinging strikes Monday, giving him 25 over his last two starts. Falter will carry a 4.22 ERA into his next outing, which is projected to be at home against the Rockies this weekend. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago

  • Carlos Santana stays hot in victory over White Sox
Carlos Santana smashed a two-run homer on Monday, powering the Twins to a 3-2 victory over the White Sox.

Advice: Santana took southpaw Garrett Crochet deep in the second inning for his fourth round-tripper in his last five games after going 20 straight games without a big fly to open the season. The 38-year-old’s recent hot streak is enough to keep his bat in the lineup moving forward, but his on-base skills have eroded to the point that it’s fair to question how much longer he’s going to stick around for Minnesota. • Caleb Thielbar gets save Monday against White Sox
Caleb Thielbar tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Monday against the White Sox to net his second save of the season.

Advice: Thielbar got the call to guard a one-run lead in the final frame once Minnesota took the lead after Brock Stewart and Griffin Jax worked a pair of scoreless frames in a tie ballgame. Rotoworld Today, 8:03 pm
  • Joe Ryan allows two runs Monday in no-decision
Joe Ryan gave up two runs over six innings on Monday in a no-decision against the White Sox.

Advice: Ryan didn’t exactly capitalize on his second straight extremely favorable matchup against Chicago’s struggling lineup, finishing with three strikeouts and only issuing one walk. He finished with only nine swinging strikes and a disastrous 21 percent CSW. The 27-year-old righty has been on a roll, allowing three earned runs or fewer in six consecutive starts to open the 2024 campaign. He’ll carry a strong 3.38 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 41/5 K/BB ratio across 34 2/3 innings (six starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Red Sox at Target Field. Rotoworld Today, 8:02 pm

  • Garrett Crochet bounces back Monday vs. Twins
Garrett Crochet struck out seven and allowed two runs over five innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Twins.

Advice: Crochet gave up just two hits and only handed out one free pass as a second-inning homer by veteran Carlos Santana accounted for all of the damage against him. He generated 13 swinging strikes and finished with a solid 34 percent CSW. It was a much-needed bounce-back outing for the 24-year-old southpaw after allowing at least five earned runs in three consecutive starts since April 13. He’ll bring a bloated 5.97 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 47/9 K/BB ratio across 34 2/3 innings (seven starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The underlying metrics suggest that he’s pitched better than his surface stats, which means fantasy managers should continue keeping him rostered outside of extremely shallow mixed leagues. • Takes tough loss
Wilson (2-1) allowed one run on four hits and two walks over six innings Monday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Rays.

Advice: Wilson coughed up a run in the first inning but finished his night with five straight scoreless frames. It was the first time this season he finished at least five innings and he dropped his season ERA to 3.00 through 24 innings. Wilson forced 10 whiffs Monday after totaling just nine over his previous three appearances (9.1 innings). Wilson is currently slated to face the Cubs on the road this weekend. • Bryse Wilson strikes out six in loss versus Rays
Bryse Wilson yielded just one run and struck out six batters against the Rays on Monday.

Advice: It’s a season-high in strikeouts for Wilson who was in command following a shaky first inning against Tampa Bay. Wilson hit Yandy Diaz and then allowed back-to-back walks to load the bases with no outs in the first frame. He was able to get Issac Paredes to ground out into a double play and got out of the inning with limited damage, giving up just one run. Following that inning, the 26-year-old hurler locked in and didn’t allow a run in his final five innings. Given the Brewers are in a rough spot given the injuries to their rotation, Wilson did more than enough to give them a chance. He should get his next opportunity against the Cubs this weekend. • Nabs fifth win
Minter (5-1) picked up the win in Sunday's victory over the Guardians, giving up one hit in a scoreless 10th inning.

Advice: The 30-year-old southpaw has already tied his career high in wins, needing only 14 appearances to do it -- he had five wins in 75 appearances in 2022. Minter has been brilliant in his high-leverage role to begin the season, posting a 1.32 ERA, 0.59 WHIP and 15:1 K:BB through 13.2 innings while adding three holds to his ledger. • Churns out another multi-hit game
Bohm went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored Sunday in the Phillies' 8-6 win over the Padres.

Advice: Recently elevated into the cleanup spot, Bohm has stayed on a heater at the plate to give the Phillies little reason to think about moving him down in the order. He's now turned in multi-hit efforts in eight of his last 10 games, batting .548 during that stretch to lift his season-long average up to .365, trailing only Mookie Betts (.387) and Will Smith (.367) for tops among qualified hitters.
