      Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Monday's victory over the Cubs.

      Advice: Adames popped his first home run since May 7 when he crushed a 427-foot, three-run shot off Hayden Wesneski in the eighth inning. The Brewers shortstop hopes the homer turns his month around, as he entered the game slashing .213/.253/.404 over 99 plate appearances in May.       Willy Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run against the Cubs on Monday.



      Advice: Adames came to the plate with two men on and one out in a 1-0 game in the eighth inning. He blasted a Hayden Wesneski offering to center for a no-doubt home run. The home run was Adames’ eighth of the season and he already has a career-high eight stolen bases.

      Cabrera (shoulder) played catch from 60 feet Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Cabrera had to be shut down again after throwing a bullpen session on May 17, but he's been cleared to try to ramp things back up.       Jarren Duran went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts on Monday in the Red Sox’ loss to the Orioles.

      Advice: Duran has been mired in a little bit of a funk lately, batting .233 (7-for-30) with one homer and one steal over his last seven contests. It’s an extremely small sample size, but if we frame out a bit more, he’s hitting .262 (32-for-122) with just two homers and three steals over his last 30 contests. The 27-year-old has shown glimpses of immense fantasy potential as a power/speed combo threat, but it hasn’t quite come together completely this season as he sits at only three homers and 11 steals through Memorial Day.     • Reds activate Nick Lodolo from IL
      Reds activated LHP Nick Lodolo from the 15-day injured list.

      Advice: Lodolo was off to a tremendous start to the season, with his 3.34 ERA and 43/9 K/BB ratio in six starts after returning from his leg injury from last year. The 26-year-old has yet to have arm problems in his MLB career but has been banged up continuously. The Reds will hope he can remain healthy for the rest of the season, but he is a risky start today after not making a rehab appearance prior to being activated.       Advice: An extended bullpen session last Wednesday put Lodolo in the clear to return after the minimum, and without a rehab assignment. The left-hander has pitched brilliantly in between IL stints this season, posting a 3.34 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 43:9 K:BB over 35 innings. While he may not be available for 90-plus pitches right away in his return, there has been nothing to suggest Lodolo will face any major restrictions against St. Louis.       Braves placed OF Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list with a torn left ACL.

      Advice: Acuña Jr. was diagnosed with a torn ACL last night and will be out for the season. It’s a brutal blow for the Braves and Acuña Jr., who has now torn the ACL in both of his knees. The Braves called up J.P. Martinez to take Acuña Jr.'s spot in on the active roster, but Adam Duvall will likely see an uptick in playing time until the Braves maybe make a move for an outfielder.       Atlanta placed Acuna (knee) on the 10-day injured list Monday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Acuna suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during Sunday's 8-1 win in Pittsburgh and will undergo season-ending surgery in the coming days. He missed the second half of the 2021 season due to a torn ACL in his other knee and is now slated for another lengthy absence. Jarred Kelenic and Adam Duvall will likely be in line for additional at-bats in the corner outfield with Acuna out, though Atlanta could seek help from outside the organization.       Gray (7-2) got the win over the Cubs on Sunday, tossing five scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and walking two. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Gray was as sharp as ever, needing 74 pitches to cruise through five innings of work. The 34-year-old registered an impressive 14 whiffs on the night, and the sweeper was his put-away pitch, accounting for eight of the 14 whiffs. Gray is now fourth in the majors with seven wins and has seven starts allowing two runs or less.
