Bradley (1-1) earned the win over Boston on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six batters over five innings.

Advice: Bradley wasn't quite as sharp as he was in his season debut Friday versus the Yankees, when he gave up just one run and struck out seven batters over six innings, but a big difference Wednesday was that he went home with a win. The promising 23-year-old got a late start to the season after injuring his pectoral in spring training and subsequently landing on the injured list, but he's impressed in two starts since his return as he attempts to solidify the back of Tampa Bay's rotation. Bradley's next start is tentatively projected to be a rematch against Boston, this time at home. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:02 pm
    • Taj Bradley strikes out six, earns first win
Taj Bradley battled Tanner Houck to earn the win in Fenway Park on Wednesday. He struck out six while allowing two earned runs, four hits, and one walk in a 4-3 victory.

Advice: Bradley had an uneasy start to the game before settling in and defeating the Red Sox. His fastball command was spotty in this one leaving far too many up and out of the zone, but he leaned on his splitter against a lefty-heavy Red Sox lineup. This was an encouraging second start of the season for Bradley who tentatively lines up for a two-start week against the Red Sox and Royals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:28 pm
    • Optimistic for minimum IL stay
Lodolo, who was placed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left groin strain, is hopeful that he'll require only a minimum-length stay on the shelf, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The southpaw revealed that he pitched with the injury during his most recent start Saturday in San Francisco, but he was hoping to make enough progress to take his next turn during the Reds' four-game series in Los Angeles. That ultimately didn't come to pass, and the decision was made to put him on the IL. If Lodolo is able to return in the minimum 15 days, he could return to the Cincinnati rotation as soon as May 27 versus the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:04 pm

    • Lands on IL with groin strain
The Reds placed Lodolo on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left groin strain.

Advice: It's not clear whether Lodolo was injured during his most recent start Saturday versus the Giants or sometime since then, but either way, he's going to be on the shelf at least for the next couple weeks. The left-hander has been excellent this season, posting a 3.34 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 43:9 K:BB through 35 innings over six starts. Nick Martinez would appear to be the most likely candidate to fill Lodolo's spot in the rotation, which comes up again Thursday versus the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:11 am

    • Nick Lodolo goes on injured list with groin strain
Reds placed LHP Nick Lodolo on the 15-day injured list with a strained left groin.

Advice: Lodolo still hasn’t had any arm problems as a major leaguer, but the rest of his body keeps betraying him. The 26-year-old was looking like a potential All-Star with his 3.34 ERA and 43/9 K/BB ratio in six starts since returning from his last round of problems with his left leg. Nick Martinez could return to the rotation in his place. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:07 am

    • Sonny Gray yields five runs to Angels in win
Sonny Gray won despite giving up five runs in six innings Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: Gray had a 0.89 ERA after five starts, but he’s given up 11 runs in his last two outings, putting him at 3.05. On the plus side, he still has an impressive 53/8 K/BB ratio in 41 1/3 innings. We ‘re not very concerned at this point; Gray will likely get hurt against eventually, but he should be plenty good until then. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:24 pm

    • Allows five runs in win
Gray (5-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Angels, giving up five runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: Gray was shaky for a second straight start in allowing 11 earned runs over his last 11 innings, but he at least got ample run support this time around. The Cardinals took a 5-0 lead in the third inning, which Gray gave back by the end of the fifth. He ended up with the win after Alec Burleson's two-run home run put St. Louis ahead for good in the top of the seventh. Gray is now at a 3.05 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 53:8 K:BB over 41.1 innings across seven starts this season. The veteran right-hander is projected to face the Orioles in a tough home start in his next outing. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:22 pm

    • Falls to Mariners
Singer (3-2) took the loss against Seattle on Monday, allowing four runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out six batters over five innings.

Advice: Singer came into Monday having allowed exactly one run in three straight starts, but he couldn't keep that momentum going. The right-hander yielded four runs across the second and third frames, marking just the second time this season he's given up that many runs over an entire game. Singer still has a strong 2.84 ERA and 1.11 WHIP through nine starts on the campaign, and he's tossed at least five frames in each of his outings thus far. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:28 pm
    • Brady Singer struggles in loss to Mariners
Brady Singer was charged for four runs over five innings while picking up a loss Monday to the Mariners.

Advice: Singer was in constant trouble Monday, as he allowed nine hits with one walk against six strikeouts. He gave up a long homer to Luke Raley in the second, and two more runs were surrendered by the right-hander in the third. Singer has been solid for the overwhelming majority of 2024, but this wasn’t his night. A good chance to rebound comes Sunday against the Athletics, assuming the rotation order doesn’t change.
