    • Crushed early in loss
Brown (6-6) took the loss against the Twins on Saturday, allowing seven runs on 12 hits and one walk with six strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Brown entered Saturday on an impressive run of eight consecutive quality starts, but the Twins jumped him early for seven runs over the first three innings. He battled to finish with three scoreless frames but ultimately endured his worst outing since allowing six earned runs against Cleveland on April 30. The 25-year-old owns a 4.48 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 100:36 K:BB over 92.1 innings this season and will try to rebound against the Rangers next week. Rotowire.com Today, 5:49 pm
    • Wood has first home run, knocks in five in win
James Wood went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run and five RBI against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Wood hit his first double and home run in the major leagues in this game. He clubbed a three-run home run off Lance Lynn in the bottom of the second inning to make it 7-0 Nationals. In the third inning, he knocked in two more runs with a double. In 23 at-bats, he’s hitting .304 with an .885 OPS for Washington. Rotoworld Today, 4:45 pm
    • Diaz picks up eighth save against Pirates Saturday
Edwin Diaz tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Diaz slammed the door on the Pirates to preserve a 5-2 victory for New York. The save was his eighth of the season and first since returning from a 10-game suspension for using an illegal foreign substance. The Mets had the league’s worst bullpen ERA while he was out. The team and fantasy managers are happy to see him back out there. Rotoworld Today, 4:32 pm
    • Chad Green allows homer, still gets four-out save
Chad Green allowed a run over 1 1/3 innings to get a save Saturday against the Mariners.

Advice: Green came on to get the final out of the eighth while striking out notorious Blue Jay killer Cal Raleigh. He did allow a solo homer to Luke Raley, but it came with a 5-3 lead. Green has now saved four games, and he should remain the closer in full until Yimi Garcia (elbow) returns. He may keep that role even after Garcia is back if he keeps pitching well. • Semien blasts 12th home run in clutch situation
Marcus Semien went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk, and a two-run home run against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: The home run was Semien’s 12th of the year. Semien was 3-for-40 (.075) in his last nine games entering Saturday and hadn’t hit a home run since June ninth. He came up with the Rangers trailing by a run in the seventh inning and hit a go-ahead two-run home run that ended up being the difference in the game. He’s hitting .232 with .679 OPS and 47 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 3:44 pm

    • Hunter Brown struggles against Twins on Saturday
Hunter Brown allowed seven runs with five strikeouts over six innings in a loss to the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Brown had quite the forgettable day on the mound as he surrendered seven runs to the Twins. The seven runs matched the total runs he’s allowed over his last eight starts combined. Three hits, a hit batter, and a sacrifice fly brought two runs in to score in the first. Minnesota brought three more runs in on four hits and a walk in the second. And Brooks Lee would hit a two-run homer in the third. Brown worked three more scoreless innings before his day was done at 105 pitches. The 25-year-old right-hander will take a 4.48 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and a 100/36 K/BB ratio across 92 1/3 innings into a start against the Rangers in Houston on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 1:51 pm
    • Swipes bag Friday
Burleson went 1-for-5 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Nationals.

Advice: Burleson is heating up again, going 7-for-21 (.333) over his last five games. The steal was his first since June 23, and he's offered decent speed for a player best known for his power. The 25-year-old is slashing .281/.317/.459 with 13 home runs, six steals, 42 RBI, 34 runs scored and 11 doubles over 301 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Today, 10:18 am

    • Returns from suspension
The Mets activated Diaz from his 10-game suspension Saturday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Diaz was dealt an automatic 10-game suspension June 24 for the use of an illegal substance on the mound, and he'll now reclaim his usual role as New York's closer. The 30-year-old has been met with struggles this season, putting up a 4.70 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 23 innings, but his return will still provide a much-needed boost to the Mets' bullpen, which posted an 8.37 ERA while Diaz was suspended. • Edwin Díaz finishes serving 10-game suspension
Mets activated RHP Edwin Díaz from the restricted list.

Advice: Díaz has finished serving an automatic 10-game suspension handed down by the league after he was ejected back on June 23 for using an illegal foreign substance. The 30-year-old will be back in New York’s bullpen for Saturday’s contest against the Pirates. According to Newsday’s Tim Healey, the Mets’ bullpen recorded a league-worst 8.37 ERA during his absence. Needless to say, his return is going to make a significant impact, even if he’s not back to best closer in the universe status. Rotoworld Today, 8:48 am
