    • Mitchell Parker can’t keep the ball in the yard
Mitchell Parker allowed five earned runs across six innings on Wednesday against the Mets. He struck out five without walking a batter in this no-decision.

Advice: The shortest home run the Mets hit off Parker was 413 feet by Tyrone Taylor and all five of their hits went for extra-bases. They clearly had a plan to attack Parker and there wasn’t much he could do about it. One fun adjustment, Parker was throwing his splitter two ticks harder and it maxed out at 89.4 MPH. He forced six swings-and-misses on it across twelve total swings and it made the Mets’s hitters look foolish a few times. Rotoworld Today, 6:34 pm

    • Christian Scott falls just short of quality start
Christian Scott allowed four earned runs in 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Nationals in his return to the big leagues. He struck out two and walked two in a no-decision.

Advice: Scott’s night was ruined by a three-run home run from Luis García Jr. off a hanging sweeper with two outs in the sixth inning. Otherwise, this was a positive return to the show from the young right-hander. The Nationals stuffed their lineup with seven lefties to combat Scott’s fastball-sweeper combo and he responded by throwing a season-high 18% splitters to combat them. It was nice to see that adjustment, improved fastball command, and the Mets willingness to let him get up to 99 pitches. Scott has a lot of growing to do while also sporting a decent floor start in and start out. Rotoworld Today, 6:33 pm

    • Erick Fedde completes six in win over Guardians
Erick Fedde struck out three and allowed one run over six innings on Wednesday in a win over the Guardians.

Advice: Fedde wasn’t overpowering in this one, but he got plenty of run support from Chicago’s lineup and managed to limit Cleveland’s offense to just three hits and a trio of walks over six frames. A third-inning sacrifice fly from David Fry, on the heels of a leadoff double by Guardians rookie Daniel Schneemann, represnted the lone tally against him in this one. The 31-year-old journeyman righty has settled in as a solid back-end rotation stabilizer for fantasy managers in his White Sox debut. He’ll carry a strong 3.13 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 94/28 K/BB ratio across 106 1/3 innings (18 starts) into a home outing against the Twins on Tuesday to close out the first half. • Mets recalled RHP Christian Scott from Triple-A
Mets recalled RHP Christian Scott from Triple-A Syracuse.

Advice: Scott is back in the majors to start against the Nationals on Wednesday. Matt Festa was designated for assignment as the corresponding move. Scott has a 3.90 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 27 2/3 innings in five starts with the Mets this year. He’s worth streaming in leagues with daily transactions. Rotoworld Today, 7:52 am

    • Summoned ahead of start
The Mets recalled Scott from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Scott is slated to start Wednesday against the Nationals and he could earn additional opportunities if he pitches well. The rookie right-hander has collected a 3.90 ERA and 25:6 K:BB over 27.2 innings in five starts with the major-league club this season. Rotowire.com Today, 7:50 am

    • Confirmed for Wednesday's start
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said that Scott will be recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to start Wednesday versus the Nationals, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: While Mendoza didn't commit to Scott making additional starts in the majors beyond Wednesday, the opportunity would seem to be there for the rookie right-hander after Tylor Megill was optioned to Triple-A on Sunday. Scott holds a 3.90 ERA and 25:6 K:BB over 27.2 innings in five starts with the big club this season. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:52 pm

    • Christian Scott to start Wednesday versus Nats
Christian Scott will start for the Mets against the Nationals on Wednesday.

Advice: It’s unclear if this will be one and done or if Scott might get to keep the spot for a spell. He certainly deserves a long look; he had a 3.90 ERA and a 25/6 K/BB ratio in 27 2/3 innings over five starts before the Mets sent him down a month ago, and he’s since posted a 2.12 ERA in Triple-A. He’s worth playing in mixed leagues this week. Rotoworld Monday, 1:51 pm

    • Poised for MLB start this week
Scott is expected to be called up from Triple-A Syracuse to start either Wednesday or Thursday in Washington, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Scott had been listed as Syracuse's starter for Monday, but he was scratched from the outing for non-injury reasons. The Mets have already confirmed David Peterson and Sean Manaea as their starters for the first two games in Washington, so Scott could slot into the rotation as early as Wednesday while New York navigates a stretch of 17 games in 17 days leading into the All-Star break. Scott turned in a 3.90 ERA and 25:6 K:BB over 27.2 innings in five starts earlier this season for New York. He's posted a 2.76 ERA and 55:12 K:BB in 42.1 frames covering nine starts with Syracuse. • Christian Scott’s AAA start being skipped
The Mets are skipping Christian Scott’s turn in the Triple-A rotation and starting Mike Vasil on Monday night instead.

Advice: There is no reported injury for Scott, so skipping his start would seem to be a strong indication that he will be called up to take over Tylor Megill’s spot in the rotation. That could mean a start on Thursday against the Nationals. Scott should be scooped back up in all leagues in which he was dropped. Rotoworld Monday, 12:55 pm
