    • Cruises to fourth win
Cortes (4-5) picked up the win in Tuesday's 4-2 victory over the Orioles, allowing five hits over six scoreless innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Advice: The crafty lefty was at his baffling best, and the only runner Baltimore got past second base against Cortes came on an Austin Wells passed ball in the sixth inning. Cortes threw a season-high 105 pitches (64 strikes) in the outing, his first time in triple digits since April 20, while the quality start was his second straight and seventh of the campaign. He'll take a 3.36 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 86:18 K:BB through 93.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home this weekend against Atlanta. Rotowire.com Today, 7:13 am

    • Takes another loss
Mize (1-5) took the loss Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks with three strikeouts across four innings.

Advice: Both of the runs charged to Mize came in the first inning, when he yielded three consecutive hits - including a triple by Ozzie Albies - to open up the game. While Mize hasn't found the win column since April 21, Tuesday's start added on to what's been a solid stretch for the 27-year-old. He's surrendered three or fewer earned runs in seven of his last eight appearances and owns a 4.43 ERA with a 46:19 K:BB on the year. Rotowire.com Today, 5:18 am
    • Goes yard again
O'Neill went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and an additional run during Tuesday's 4-3 win over Toronto.

Advice: After swatting a pair of homers in the series opener against the Blue Jays, O'Neill homered again Tuesday, tagging Brendon Little for a game-tying solo shot in the eighth inning. O'Neill has generated multiple hits in four of his last five games, going 8-for-23 (.348) with four home runs, seven runs scored and seven RBI during that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 5:07 am

    • Considered day-to-day
Manager Brandon Hyde said that Westburg was diagnosed with a bruised left hip following Tuesday's loss to the Yankees, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Westburg collided with Juan Soto during the first inning of Tuesday's contest and eventually had to leave the game in the second. He appears to have avoided any significant damage, and it's possible he could return to Baltimore's lineup Wednesday without missing any games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:30 pm

    • Jordan Westburg day-to-day with hip soreness
Jordan Westburg is day-to-day with left hip soreness.

Advice: Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters following Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees that Westburg is pretty sore, but it doesn’t sound like he suffered a significant injury when he collided at an awkward angle with Juan Soto during the opening frame of the contest, which led to his early exit. The 25-year-old infielder will likely sit out a couple games moving forward, but it doesn’t appear that he’s headed to the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm

    • Nestor Cortes blanks O’s for six innings in win
Nestor Cortes pitched six scoreless innings while striking out six to earn the win on Tuesday against the Orioles.

Advice: Cortes needed 25 pitches to get through the first inning, thanks in part to back-to-back singles by Adley Rutschman and Ryan Mountcastle. He would eventually settle in to pitch six scoreless innings without walking a batter. The five hits Cortes allowed all came on singles as he did everything within reason to hold a powerful Orioles lineup in check. Cortes has been feisty at home all season and draws another home start on Sunday against the Braves. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm

    • Gio Urshela drives in lone run for Tigers in loss
Gio Urshela went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Braves.

Advice: Urshela’s RBI single in the top of the sixth gave the Tigers their first run scored on a night where the Tigers struggled to string together hits against Spencer Schwellenbach, who made his best start of the season. Urshela was responsible for one of the Tigers’ five hits on the night and is hitting .304/.365/.413 in the month of June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:49 pm

    • Mize allows two runs, hit with loss vs. Braves
Casey Mize pitched four innings while allowing two runs on five hits in the Tigers’ loss to the Braves on Tuesday.

Advice: Mize surrendered two runs in the first inning, with the first coming on an RBI triple by Ozzie Albies. It would be the only two runs he’d surrender in the outing, but some long innings resulted in 87 pitches over four frames despite him not walking a batter. Still in search of his first win since April, Mize will look to secure his second win in his next start, which comes on Monday against a stout Phillies lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:47 pm
    • Throwing off mound Thursday
Blackburn (foot) will throw a bullpen session Thursday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Thursday will mark the first time Blackburn has thrown off a mound since he landed on the injured list May 13 due to a fracture in his right foot. He isn't expected to return until after the All-Star break, but a more precise return timeline for the 30-year-old may emerge after he throws a few additional bullpen sessions and progresses to facing live hitters.
