    • Day off Friday
Urshela isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Friday's game against Arizona, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Advice: Urshela has gone 0-for-6 since returning from the injured list Tuesday, and he'll now get a chance to clear his head Friday. Matt Vierling will fill the open spot at third base and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:20 pm

    • Back from injured list
Urshela (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and is starting at third base Tuesday against the Marlins, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: The 32-year-old landed on the shelf with a strained hamstring April 20, but he's ready to rejoin the Tigers after a three-game rehab assignment, during which he went 5-for-8 with a walk, an RBI and two runs. Prior to the injury, Urshela posted a .298 average through 18 games but didn't provide much pop with just two extra-base hits (both doubles). Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:00 pm

    • Gio Urshela gets activated, draws start for Tigers
Tigers activated 3B Gio Urshela from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Urshela is playing third base and batting sixth tonight against Marlins lefty Ryan Weathers. He should be a lineup fixture versus southpaws and also see a fair amount of time against righties, with Matt Vierling seeing occasional outfield duty in those situations. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:58 pm

    • Goes deep again Monday
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 6-5 win over the Marlins.

Advice: After going the first 37 games of the season without launching any home runs, Torkelson has now blasted off in consecutive contests. Both home runs were two-run shots, and the 24-year-old could certainly keep it going, as he's shown the ability to hit long balls in bunches. Torkelson recorded a career-best 31 home runs last year, to go along with 94 RBI. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:02 pm
    • Spencer Torkelson hits go-ahead homer vs. Marlins
Spencer Torkelson slugged a go-ahead two-run homer on Monday, lifting the Tigers to a 6-5 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: It was a big-time moment for Torkelson, who desperately needed one after a rocky few weeks to start to the year. The 24-year-old former first-overall pick connected for a go-ahead blast off Marlins reliever Anthony Maldonado in the eighth inning for just his second round-tripper of the season. It’s difficult to pinpoint the root of his struggles, especially since his plate skills have remained adequate, but he’s coming off a 31-homer campaign and should start hitting for more power once the weather warms up. He’s homered in back-to-back contests and might finally be getting going at the dish. Rotoworld Monday, 6:52 pm
    • Gio Urshela (hamstring) likely to return Tuesday
Gio Urshela will likely rejoin the Tigers prior to Tuesday’s game.

Advice: Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press anticipates that Akil Baddoo will be sent down to make room. Urshela, out since April 19 with a strained hamstring, is 5-for-8 over three games on a rehab assignment. He’ll likely see quite a bit of time at third base, with Matt Vierling getting more action in the outfield. Rotoworld Monday, 1:33 pm

    • Knocks second homer
Wade went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks in Sunday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Reds.

Advice: Wade has gotten on base in his last 13 games, going 11-for-34 with a 13:10 BB:K in that span. While he's been an on-base machine this season, he's struggled to hit for power -- his homer Sunday was his second of the year, and he's added just five doubles over 40 contests. Wade is slashing .340/.480/.457 with 14 RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base over 123 plate appearances. He's just shy of being a qualified hitter due to beginning the year in a strong-side platoon role, but he's seen more opportunities versus southpaws since Jorge Soler (shoulder) went on the injured list Wednesday. • Launches first homer of 2024
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 9-3 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Torkelson finally broke through for his first home run of the 2024 season, launching a two-run shot off of Houston reliever Seth Martinez with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. After producing 31 home runs over 159 games in 2023, it took the first baseman 38 contests to go deep in 2024. Torkelson is now batting .224 with a home run, 14 RBI and 15 runs scored over those 38 games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:06 pm
    • LaMonte Wade Jr. hits two-run homer in Giants’ win
LaMonte Wade Jr. hit a two-run homer and walked twice Sunday as the Giants bested the Reds 6-5 in 10 innings.

Advice: One of the walks was his first intentional pass of the season. The MLB OBP leader at .480, Wade now has two homers in 123 plate appearances. Because of his performance and the fact that the Giants are really banged up, he made his first two starts of the year against lefties on Friday and Saturday. That he’s not platooning at the moment makes him an option in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:56 pm
