• Punches out eight
Ragans allowed two runs on two hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out eight during the win over Milwaukee.

Advice: The lone blemish on Ragans' line Monday was a two-run shot by Gary Sanchez in the fourth inning. After the long ball, Ragans retired the final seven batters he faced, with three coming via strikeout. He matched his season high by forcing 19 whiffs, with nine coming against his changeup. Since getting hammered for seven runs against the Orioles, Ragans has posted a strong 2.04 ERA and 21:8 K:BB over his last three starts. The 26-year-old will carry a 3.38 ERA into his next outing, which is lined up to be a road matchup with the Angels this weekend. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago

  • Luis Castillo pitches well, but picks up loss to Twins
Luis Castillo gave up three runs — two earned — over 6 2/3 innings in a loss Monday to the Twins.

Advice: Castillo allowed just an unearned run over the first six, but two more crossed the plate in the seventh. The right-hander struck out seven against three walks, and it was another solid outing for the 31-year-old right-hander. Castillo has a very friendly match-up coming over the weekend against the Athletics. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

  • Simeon Woods Richardson blanks M’s over six
Simeon Woods Richardson struck out eight over six scoreless innings in a no-decision Monday against the Mariners.

Advice: Woods Richardson and Luis Castillo battled zero-for-zero for most of the contest, with the Twins breaking through after Woods Richardson departed the game. He allowed just a hit and a walk, and didn’t see a single runner advance into scoring position while he was in the game. This was a much improved effort from Tuesday’s lackluster outing against the White Sox, and at times, the Mariners looked flat-out overmatched. He’ll take a 3.35 ERA into his weekend start against the Blue Jays. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago
  • Mitch Keller pitches complete game versus Angels
Mitch Keller pitched his second-career complete game on Monday and picked up his third win of the season against the Angels.

Advice: Pittsburgh’s ace went the distance on Monday as he allowed just one earned run on five hits and stuck out five. His lone run came off a solo homer from Zach Neto. Keller threw 109 total pitches with 75 of them called strikes. In the final frame, Keller got Mickey Moniak and Taylor Ward to strike out and then had Willie Calhoun pop up to left center field. It was an efficient outing from the right-hander as he’ll look to improve his 4.41 ERA against the Cubs this weekend at PNC Park. Rotoworld Today, 6:02 pm

  • Tyler Anderson picks up fourth loss against Pirates
Tyler Anderson allowed four earned runs in 6 1/3 innings in a loss against the Pirates on Monday.

Advice: Anderson has recorded a loss in four of his past five starts after picking up back-to-back wins in his first two starts of the season. His ERA has ballooned from 1.78 to 2.74 over his last two starts as the 34-year-old has given up 3 or more earned runs in those contests. After a hot start to the season, it appears regression has hit Anderson, which was to be expected. Rotoworld Today, 6:02 pm

  • Blake Snell (adductor) to throw to hitters Tuesday
Blake Snell (adductor) will face live hitters for three innings Tuesday.

Advice: Snell came away from his bullpen session over the weekend well, and will now progress to facing hitters in as simulated setting. The southpaw could begin a rehab assignment a few days later if that assignment goes the way it’s supposed to. Snell could be back with the Giants by the end of the month. • Keeps cruising Monday
Wentz tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Guardians. He allowed one hit and struck out four.

Advice: Wentz relieved starter Jack Flaherty and kept Detroit in the game, as the lefty continued his excellent start to the season. He lowered his ERA to 0.68 and now has 18 strikeouts across 13.1 innings. Wentz flopped as a starter last year but has reinvented himself as an effective long reliever. It's not the most fantasy-friendly role, but he could help with ratios, strikeouts and the occasional win in deeper formats. Rotowire.com Today, 5:47 pm

  • Jack Flaherty strikes out six, allows two runs vs. CLE
Jack Flaherty yielded two earned runs and struck out six batters in six innings on Monday in a loss against the Guardians.

Advice: It would’ve been nonsense to think Flaherty could match his last outing of 14 punch outs, but the 28-year-old pitched well against the Guardians and now has six or more strikeouts in five straight starts. The right-hander allowed his first of two runs in the first inning off a single from Will Brennan. He didn’t allow another run until his last inning when José Ramírez took him deep in the sixth. Flaherty’s next start will be at home against the Astros. Rotoworld Today, 5:40 pm

  • Triston McKenzie allows one run in no-decision
Triston McKenzie allowed one earned run and stuck out six in five innings against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: McKenzie allowed a home run to Riley Greene on the first pitch of the game and after that, the 26-year-old shut down the Tigers’ offense. McKenzie has at least six strikeouts in four straight games and has gotten his season ERA under four for the first time this season (3.97 ERA). McKenzie will get his next start against the White Sox this weekend, giving him and fantasy managers a solid matchup to improve across all categories. Rotoworld Today, 5:40 pm
