    • Slated to throw this week
Musgrove (elbow) is expected to play catch Wednesday or Thursday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Advice: This will be the first time Musgrove has thrown since he went on the injured list June 1 due to a bone spur in his right elbow. The right-hander acknowledged that his new slider may have contributed to the issue and indicated Saturday that he is considering how to alter either the grip or his wrist action on the pitch. Musgrove also shared that he is working to change the landing on his delivery in order to reduce the stress on his arm, saying, "I do think that that delivery, like the release point and like how it's coming out of my hand right now, now that it's aggravated, I've got to try to make some kind of adjustment to not re-aggravate it without having months of rest time and let it calm down. I gotta find a way to adjust." There's still a possibility that the veteran hurler could need surgery to remove the bone spur, but even if he avoids that scenario, he probably won't be ready to rejoin the Padres until late July. • Strikes out nine in win
Crawford (3-6) allowed three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out nine over six innings to earn the win Sunday over the Yankees.

Advice: Crawford had given up at least four runs in five of his last six starts, but he was able to turn in a strong performance Sunday. He allowed solo home runs to Aaron Judge and Jose Trevino, but Crawford's nine strikeouts were a season high, and he snapped a four-start losing streak. The right-hander is at a 3.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 88:26 K:BB through 86.1 innings over 15 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in Cincinnati. • Impresses in doubleheader
Lewis went 3-for-7 with two home runs, three RBI, three walks and three runs scored as the Twins swept Sunday's doubleheader versus the Athletics.

Advice: Lewis has done nothing but mash since returning from a quadriceps injury he suffered Opening Day. This was the second time since his injury that he's homered in consecutive contests, and he's up to seven long balls in just 11 games this season. He's added 11 RBI, 12 runs scored, two doubles and no stolen bases while batting .390 with a 1.398 OPS over 47 plate appearances. He's seen steady time between third base and designated hitter, though his lengthy injury may give the risk-averse fantasy manager caution despite Lewis' clear upside. • Royce Lewis homers in both halves of doubleheader
Royce Lewis clobbered a two-run homer in the first inning on Sunday night as the Twins took both games of their doubleheader against the Athletics.

Advice: The 25-year-old superstar got things started with a bang in this one, demolishing a 427-foot (104.6 mph EV) two-run shot off of Joey Estes in the opening inning. He also homered in the first game of the doubleheader and has now slugged seven long balls in his first 12 games on the season. Lewis finished the night 1-for-3 with a pair of walks and two runs scored and is now slashing a laughable .390/.447/.951 with seven homers and 11 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:02 pm

    • Dealing with lower-arm injury
Rizzo (arm) suffered a right lower-arm injury in Sunday's 9-3 loss to the Red Sox, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Rizzo went down in a heap after a collision with Boston reliever Brennan Bernardino at first base in the top of the seventh inning, suffering an apparent right arm injury. The first baseman will see the team doctors and undergo imaging to determine the severity of the injury in New York on Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:22 pm
    • Kutter Crawford strikes out nine in win over Yanks
Kutter Crawford racked up nine strikeouts over six innings of three-run baseball in a victory over the Yankees on Sunday night.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander allowed just three hits and one walk on the night. He served up a solo homer to Aaron Judge in the opening inning, then kept the Yankees’ offense completely at bay until Jose Trevino crushed a solo homer in the sixth inning. They scratched out another run in the sixth as Anthony Volpe scampered home on a wild pitch with two outs in the inning. Crawford generated 16 swings and misses on 84 pitches in the ballgame — nine on his sweeper — while posting a terrific CSW of 39 percent. Now 3-6 on the season, Crawford will tote a 3.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and an 88/26 K/BB ratio (86 1/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Reds in Cincinnati. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:19 pm
    • Leaves game after collision
Rizzo (undisclosed) exited Sunday's contest against the Red Sox in the top of the seventh inning, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Rizzo collided with Red Sox pitcher Brennan Bernardino while trying to leg out a hit, landing on his right hand/wrist. Oswaldo Cabrera replaced him in the game. More information on Rizzo's status will likely come following the conclusion of the contest. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:21 pm
    • Anthony Rizzo leaves game with right wrist injury
Anthony Rizzo was removed from Sunday night’s game against the Red Sox in the seventh inning after suffering a right wrist injury in a collision at first base.

Advice: Rizzo collided with Red Sox left-hander Brennan Bernardino who was attempting to cover first base on a throw from Dominic Smith. Rizzo went to the ground and braced his fall with his right hand, which seemed to have caused the injury. He’ll presumably head for X-rays to rule out any potential fractures. Stay tuned. • Lewis blasts sixth home run in win Sunday
Royce Lewis went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk against the Athletics on Sunday.

Advice: Lewis continues to mash the ball since returning from the injured list. He’s now hit six home runs in 42 plate appearances this season. It’s a tiny sample size, but he’s hitting .395 with a .526 ISO on the year.
