      Advice: The Cubs don’t play today, so it’s kind of surprising that the move is coming now. However, MLB.com’s transactions page says it’s official. Still unofficial is the Luis Vazquez callup, which is expected to happen before the game Tuesday. Swanson should start at shortstop Tuesday after missing two weeks with a sprained knee.       Cubs optioned OF Pete Crow-Armstrong to Triple-A Iowa.

      Advice: It’s nothing Crow-Armstrong did wrong, but the Cubs don’t want a 22-year-old top prospect sitting on the bench as often as Crow-Armstrong was going to now that Cody Bellinger and Seiya Suzuki are healthy.       The Padres are calling Xander Bogaerts’ injury left shoulder inflammation.

      Advice: It’s an odd diagnosis, being that this was a sudden injury sustained while diving for a ball, but it’s what we’re left with after the Padres couldn’t initially find anything serious going on within the shoulder.       Starling Marte was ejected from Monday’s game in the fourth inning for arguing balls and strikes.

      Advice: Marte couldn’t let it go after being (correctly) called out to end the top of the fourth and was tossed as he was beginning to walk out to right field for the bottom of the inning. Tyrone Taylor replaced him versus the Guardians. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

      Mariners activated SS J.P. Crawford from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: Crawford’s pregame workout today was impressive enough to get him back on the roster tonight after his absence due to an oblique strain and a subsequent bruised hand, but he won’t return to the starting lineup until tomorrow.     • Danny Jansen homers, drives in five in Jays’ win
      Danny Jansen went 3-for-5 with a homer, a double and five RBI as the Blue Jays bested the White Sox 9-3 on Monday.

      Advice: Jansen, who hadn’t batted higher than fifth this season until today, had his big game from the second spot in the lineup. He’s batting .333/.397/.681 with five homers and just nine strikeouts through 78 plate appearances. It seems like more than just a hot streak, so he’s probably a top-10 fantasy catcher for the short term. Still, staying healthy has been quite an issue for the 29-year-old.     • Bo Bichette goes 4-for-4, doubles three times
      Bo Bichette finished 4-for-4 with three doubles against the White Sox on Monday.

      Advice: The first double should have been an out, but the last two were legit. Those two and the single were all hit at least 105 mph, making this easily Bichette’s best exit-velocity day of the season. It was definitely an encouraging showing, even if it was aided by some meatballs from the White Sox staff. Rotoworld Today, 3:39 pm
