    • Anthony Volpe homers, reaches four times
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and two walks Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: A much-improved game for Volpe, who came into the day 7-for-47 with no homers and a 16/1 K/BB ratio in his previous 11 games. The Yankees haven’t wavered on using him as a leadoff man, even though he’s mostly struggled since moving up two weeks into the season. It’s definitely best for his fantasy value if they keep him there. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago

    • Throws bullpen session
Javier (neck) threw a bullpen session Sunday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The right-hander landed on the injured list last Sunday with neck discomfort, but it's encouraging he's back on the mound a week later. Javier will be eligible to be activated during next weekend's three game series versus the Mariners, though it remains to be seen if he's game ready at that point. Rotowire.com Today, 2:30 pm

    • Giménez has two hits, steal vs ATL
Andrés Giménez went 2-for-4 with a steal and an RBI against the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Both of Giménez’s hits with singles hit 91 mph or better off the bat and upped his slash line to .275/.345/.343 on the year. That slugging percentage obviously leaves a lot to be desired, but Giménez is getting on base often at the top of the Guardians’ lineup and now has four steals on the year. He also has some of the lowest exit velocities among every day players, so if you can stomach his lack of power, he’s a good MIF target in all fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 2:01 pm
    • Surrenders six runs Saturday
Civale allowed six runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out three batters over 4.1 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Civale made it through three scoreless frames before serving up an Andrew Benintendi three-run homer in the fourth. The right-hander returned for the fifth frame but gave up three straight hits for another run before departing with one out, and both runners he left on base later came around to score. Civale began the campaign with three quality starts among his first four appearances, but he's fallen off since then, yielding 11 runs across nine innings over his subsequent two starts. He'll try to get back on track in his next start, which is tentatively lined up to be a home outing against the Mets next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:23 pm

    • Aaron Civale struggles over 4 1/3 against CWS
Aaron Civale was charged for six runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Civale was fortunate to not pick up a loss, as the no-decision has nothing to do with effective pitching. The right-hander was solid over the first three frames, but failed the second time through the lineup with three runs allowed in both the fourth and fifth frames. Civale has struggled in back-to-back outings, and his ERA for the month of April is a disappointing 5.06 despite pitching well to begin the month. He gets the Mets on Friday. • Red Sox move Triston Casas to 60-day IL
Red Sox transferred 1B Triston Casas to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The team needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster for the addition of Garrett Cooper, and Casas made logical sense after it was reported that he’s dealing with torn cartilage in his ribs and could be sidelined for up to nine weeks. He won’t be eligible to return until the end of June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:09 pm

    • Out until late June
The Red Sox transferred Casas (ribs) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Advice: Casas was diagnosed with a cartilage tear in his left ribcage Friday, and he won't be eligible to rejoin the Red Sox until at least June 21 as a result of his move to the 60-day IL. The Red Sox made the transaction to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Garrett Cooper, whom the team acquired from the Cubs on Saturday in exchange for cash considerations. Once he arrives in Boston, Cooper will likely take over as the team's everyday first baseman in Casas' stead. Whether Casas is able to return from the IL when first eligible in late June likely won't become clear until weeks down the road, when he could be ready to resume workouts. • Muncy, Outman, Lux on the bench against lefty
Max Muncy, James Outman and Gavin Lux are not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The trio of lefties will take a seat with lefty Yusei Kikuchi toeing the rubber at the Rogers Centre. It’ll be lefty-masher Enrique Hernández at third base, rookie Andy Pages patrolling center field and versatile superstar Mookie Betts at the keystone. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:25 am

    • Not starting Saturday
Muncy isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Saturday versus Toronto.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Muncy will step out of the lineup Saturday with lefty starter Yusei Kikuchi on the mound for the Blue Jays. Enrique Hernandez will fill in at third base and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:11 am
