    • Steven Kwan will start in Triple-A on Tuesday
According to Guardians manager Stephen Vogt, Steven Kwan will start in left field for Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.

Advice: Vogt said the plan is for Kwan to play 6-8 innings in the field. If Kwan were to do that and come out feeling good, he might only need one or two more starts before the Guardians feel good about activating him from the IL. That could mean that Jonathan Rodriguez heads back to Triple-A. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:00 pm

    • Absent from lineup
Marsh is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Left-hander Blake Snell will be toeing the slab for the Giants, offering the Phillies an opportunity to give the left-handed hitting Marsh a breather. Right-handed batter Cristian Pache will patrol left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:18 am

    • Expected to hit on field Monday
Hoskins (hamstring) plans to advance to hitting on the field Monday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Hoskins will clear a significant hurdle in his recovery from a right hamstring strain, as Monday's activity will mark his first time hitting on the field since he landed on the injured list. While there is still no set timetable for his return to action, it sounds like Hoskins isn't too far off from a rehab assignment. "I feel as good as I can," Hoskins said. • Yields run Sunday
Hader allowed a solo home run and struck out one batter during Sunday's win over Oakland.

Advice: Hader entered a non-save situation and eventually finished off the 5-2 win, but not before coughing up a solo shot to Shea Langeliers. That homer snapped Hader's 8.1-inning scoreless streak and his seven-inning hitless streak. The veteran southpaw owns a 4.13 ERA with a 38:9 K:BB and seven saves this season. • Improves to 5-0
Blanco (5-0) allowed a run on four hits and a walk over seven innings Sunday, striking out six and earning a win over the Athletics.

Advice: Blanco fired five scoreless frames before coughing up a solo shot to Max Schuemann in the sixth inning. It was Blanco's first start since May 14 after serving a suspension for using a foreign substance. He forced 17 swinging strikes, including seven with his slider. It was the third time in nine starts that he's reached that number. Blanco lowered his ERA to a stellar 1.99 with a 51:22 K:BB through 54.1 frames. His next start is projected to be at home against the Twins. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:56 pm

    • Tanner Houck strong for six innings in no-decision
Tanner Houck pitched six innings of one-run ball against the Brewers on Sunday.

Advice: Houck struck out seven and walked none in his latest excellent outing. Alas, he didn’t get the victory, as the Red Sox only scored their second run in the bottom of the eighth. Houck has a 1.90 ERA and nine quality starts in 11 tries, yet his record stands at 4-5. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:18 pm
    • Fans seven in no-decision
Houck did not factor into the decision Sunday against Milwaukee, allowing one earned run on seven hits and one walk through six innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Houck was excellent yet again, marking his third consecutive start allowing one earned run or fewer. The 27-year-old has not allowed a home run since April 12, and his microscopic 0.14 HR/9 leads the league. Houck (4-5) now owns a 1.90 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in 71 innings this year. He is tentatively scheduled for a home start against Detroit next weekend. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:03 pm
    • Ronel Blanco returns with stellar start in win
Ronel Blanco allowed just one run on four hits in seven innings in a win over the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Blanco struck out six and walked one, allowing just a solo home run to Max Schuemann in his outing. He induced 17 whiffs for a 31 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW. He got right back to doing what he was doing after his controversial suspension, and he now has a 1.99 ERA on the season to go along with a 5-0 record. He has a tougher test against the Twins next week but should be started against pretty much every offense right now while he’s pitching like this. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:05 pm

    • Jake Burger leads Marlins past Diamondbacks
Jake Burger smacked a two-run single in the seventh inning on Saturday, helping to lead the Marlins to a 3-1 victory over the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

Advice: The two sides entered the seventh inning embattled in a scoreless tie, until Bryan De La Cruz plated a run with a fielder’s choice. Burger then followed with a two-run knock off of Kevin Ginkel that extended the Marlins’ lead to 3-0. That would prove to be more than enough for Ryan Weathers and company in this one. The 28-year-old slugger finished the afternoon 1-for-4 plus a walk and is now hitting .195/.234/.320 with four homers and 19 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:51 pm
