    • Blasts leadoff homer
Westburg went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Westburg made manager Brandon Hyde look smart -- this was Westburg's first big-league game at leadoff, and he hit a homer in his first at-bat. The infielder is 11-for-32 (.344) over his last eight games, adding six extra-base hits and seven RBI in that span. For the season, he's slashing .301/.354/.534 with seven homers, 28 RBI, 22 runs scored and five stolen bases through 159 plate appearances. Westburg may get more looks at leadoff versus southpaws, but he should be expected to bat lower in the lineup versus right-handers, as he has yet to above sixth in the order against same-handed pitchers this season. • Yandy Díaz puts Rays ahead with two-run single
Yandy Díaz went 1-for-4 with a walk and big two-run single in a win against the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Díaz’s go-ahead single was scalded at 110.4 MPH. He’s had a slow start to the season, but raised his average from .202 to .253 since May third. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:20 pm

    • Jordan Westburg homers as leadoff man
Batting leadoff for the first time, Jordan Westburg went 2-for-5 with a homer versus the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Advice: Manager Brandon Hyde indicated before the game that this wasn’t a permanent move. Westburg, though, has a case for hitting high in the order regularly. He’s batting .301/.354/.534 with seven homers and five steals in 159 plate appearances. Prior to today, he had hit third once but never higher than fifth otherwise. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:14 pm

    • Moves up to leadoff spot
Westburg will start at third base and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: Westburg will occupy the top spot in the batting order for the first time in his big-league career. Normal leadoff man Gunnar Henderson will shift down to the cleanup spot while Toronto brings in left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:02 am

    • Goes deep again Tuesday
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Tuesday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Athletics.

Advice: Bregman entered the Oakland series with one homer on the year, but he's hit three long balls and added two doubles over his last two games. The third baseman has gone 10-for-24 (.417) during a six-game hitting streak, though he's still got a long way to go to get his season-long numbers at an acceptable level. Bregman is slashing .225/.293/.358 with four homers, 18 RBI, 12 runs scored, eight doubles and two stolen bases over 39 contests. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:35 pm

    • Bregman homers in second-straight game vs. A’s
Alex Bregman went 2-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Athletics.

Advice: Bregman swatted his fourth homer of the season in the second inning to give the Astros an early 1-0 lead. Bregman has now homered in back-to-back nights and has hit safely in his last six games. He’s hitting .417 over that span and may finally be starting to turn the corner after getting off to a slow start to the season. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:25 pm

    • Explodes for two homers, four RBI
Bregman went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs, a double, four total RBI, three total runs and a walk in a 9-2 victory against the Athletics on Monday.

Advice: Bregman came into Monday looking like a shell of his former power-hitting self with just one long ball through 159 plate appearances, but he brought back reminders of his 41-homer 2019 campaign with a pair of solo blasts in the victory. The third baseman capped the big performance with a two-run double in the eighth inning, giving him a season-high four RBI and his second three-hit effort of the campaign. Bregman could be in the midst of turning around what had previously looked like a tepid season, as he's on a five-game hitting streak during which he's gone 8-for-20 (.400 average) with four extra-base hits and six RBI. • Bregman blasts two homers Monday
Alex Bregman went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, three runs scored and four RBI in the Astros’ win over the Athletics on Monday.

Advice: Bregman homered in the fourth inning and seventh inning before adding a two-run double in the eighth inning for good measure. He’d been off to a slow start so far this season and the Astros have even moved him down in the batting order. More games like this and he’ll be back in the middle of the order.

    • Continues hot stretch
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: Diaz launched his second homer in as many games and his third of the season. He has turned his results around in May, as he's maintained a .333 average with eight RBI and eight runs scored across 10 games. Diaz remains locked in as the Rays' leadoff hitter and should be a strong source of batting average and runs scored moving forward. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:41 am
