    • Nolan Gorman homers in win over Red Sox
Nolan Gorman went 2-for4 with a homer and two RBI in a 7-2 win for the Cardinals over the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Gorman smashed a solo homer in the second inning of Kutter Crawford — the only run Crawford allowed in the outing — and he drove in his second run with a single in the eighth inning to give him 18 RBI and doubled the St. Louis lead to 4-2. Gorman now has seven homers on the season, but even with the two hits and two RBI, his .201/.293/.396 slash qualifies as a disappointment thus far. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:09 pm

    • Escapes with no-decision Saturday
Eflin came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays, giving up four runs on nine hits over six innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

Advice: After keeping Toronto hitters in check the first time through the order, Eflin saw the wheels come off in the fourth and fifth innings, as he put the Rays in a 4-0 hole that they eventually climbed out of. The right-hander managed to keep the ball in the yard, snapping a streak of four straight starts in which he'd served up a homer. Eflin will take a 4.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and stellar 44:4 K:BB through 59 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Royals. • Goes yard twice against ChiSox
Soto went 4-for-4 with a walk, two home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 6-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: The 25-year-old had his best game yet as a Yankee, taking Brad Keller deep in the first and fifth innings. It was Soto's first multi-hit performance, and first long balls, since May 8, and through 47 games on the season he carries a .317/.414/.561 slash line with 11 homers, four steals, 32 runs and 37 RBI. • Devin Williams (back) plays catch on Saturday
Devin Williams (back) played catch on Saturday without any issues.

Advice: It’s the first time that the 29-year-old right-hander has thrown since being shut down in spring training due to a pair of stress fractures in his back. He isn’t expected to rejoin the Brewers’ bullpen until mid-July — that’s if everything goes smoothly in his throwing progression — but the fact that he has a ball in his hand once again is obviously an encouraging sign. • Plays catch Saturday
Williams (back) played catch before Saturday's game against the Astros, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Saturday marks the first time Williams has done any sort of throwing since being shut down during spring training due to multiple stress fractures in his back. The 29-year-old closer still has a long way to go before the Brewers can think about sending him out on a minor-league rehab assignment, but he is certainly trending in the right direction. He's expected to rejoin Milwaukee's bullpen near the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Saturday, 3:15 pm

    • Zach Eflin surrenders four runs against Blue Jays
Zach Eflin allowed four runs with three strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Eflin had worked through three scoreless innings before the Blue Jays brought a run across to score on three hits in the fourth. Four consecutive hits to start the fifth inning would bring three more runs in for Toronto. Eflin would return for one more inning, ending his day after six with three strikeouts. The 30-year-old right-hander will take a 4.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and a 44/4 K/BB ratio across 59 innings into a start against the Royals in Tampa Bay on Friday. Rotoworld Saturday, 2:57 pm

    • Sitting down versus lefty
Kepler isn't in the Twins' lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Left-hander Logan Allen will toe the slab for Cleveland on Saturday, meaning the lefty-hitting Kepler will retreat to the bench. Manuel Margot will take over in right field and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 2:05 pm

    • Juan Soto homers twice, Yankees crush White Sox
Juan Soto went 4-for-4 with two homers and three RBI to power the Yankees to a 6-1 win over the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Soto blasted a solo homer in the first inning to put the Yankees on the board, his 10th of the season. He drove in another run with a single in the second, then went yard once again to lead off the fifth. A base hit in the eighth would make it a perfect day at the plate. It was the first multi-homer game for Soto as a member of the Yankees. The 25-year-old star outfielder is slashing .317/.414/.561 with 11 homers, 32 runs scored, 37 RBI, and four steals across 215 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 12:45 pm

    • Giancarlo Stanton stays hot with homer Saturday
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a walk against the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Stanton doubled in the first inning to drive in a run for the Yankees. He then homered off Brad Keller in the third before drawing a walk to reach for a third time in the fifth inning. The 34-year-old slugger is heating up along with the rest of the Yankees lineup. He’s now had multiple hits in four of his last five games, including three homers. Stanton is hitting .258/.309/.530 with 11 homers and 26 RBI across 162 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 12:43 pm
