    • Carlos Correa blasts homer in loss to Nationals
Carlos Correa clubbed a two-run homer on Monday in the Twins’ blowout loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Correa walloped a two-run shot off Nationals starter Mitchell Parker in the sixth inning, but it did little to alter the outcome of Monday’s series opener. It was just his third round-tripper of the season. The 29-year-old shortstop is batting .267/.361/.419 with 16 runs scored, three homers and 12 RBI in 122 plate appearances. • Out against left-hander
Kepler is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Kepler is one of several Twins players involved in a platoon, so he will yield to Manuel Margot in right field with the Nats starting left-hander Mitchell Parker. The left-handed hitting Kepler actually has a 1.050 OPS versus southpaws this season, although that's come over just 20 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 11:53 am

    • Elly De La Cruz strikes out four times in loss
Elly De La Cruz went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: After a tremendous first game of the series, De La Cruz finished the final three games against the Dodgers going 0-for-13 with eight strikeouts. He’s off to an absurd start to the season with 30 stolen bases and nine home runs in 47 games; however, he has started to give back some of his early plate discipline gains. De La Cruz now has 26 strikeouts to just five walks in May while going 14-for-65 at the plate for a .215 average. He’s an electric fantasy player and not somebody you’d ever take out of your lineup, but the 22-year-old remains a work in progress as far as his approach at the plate goes. While that gives him scary good upside, it also means that you should be ready for some prolonged cold streaks as well. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:17 pm

    • Slugs another long ball Saturday
Stanton went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, a walk and two total RBI in Saturday's 6-1 win against the White Sox.

Advice: Stanton doubled home a run in the first inning and added a solo homer in the third. The long ball was his second in as many days and his third over his past four games. Stanton is enjoying a big month of May, slashing .308/.333/.654 with five homers and 10 RBI through 13 games, though he's also struck out 35.2 percent of the time. • Heads to bench Sunday
Gorman is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Gorman has homered in back-to-back games, but the strikeouts are piling up. He's struck out 10 times in his last 16 at-bats, bringing his K-rate to 35 percent through 157 plate appearances this season. Brendan Donovan will start at second base Sunday as Alec Burleson takes over in left field and Matt Carpenter starts at DH. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:34 am

    • Homers in back-to-back games
Gorman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an RBI single and two total runs scored in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Gorman has homered in each of the last two games, and he's gone deep three times with three multi-hit efforts over his last seven contests. The second baseman is up to a .201/.293/.396 slash line through 157 plate appearances after hitting as low as .172 and slugging as little as .319 on May 9. He's added seven homers, 18 RBI, 16 runs scored, six doubles and no stolen bases over 40 games while seeing a majority of the playing time at the keystone this year. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:35 pm

    • Nolan Gorman homers in win over Red Sox
Nolan Gorman went 2-for4 with a homer and two RBI in a 7-2 win for the Cardinals over the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Gorman smashed a solo homer in the second inning of Kutter Crawford — the only run Crawford allowed in the outing — and he drove in his second run with a single in the eighth inning to give him 18 RBI and doubled the St. Louis lead to 4-2. Gorman now has seven homers on the season, but even with the two hits and two RBI, his .201/.293/.396 slash qualifies as a disappointment thus far. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:09 pm

    • Goes yard twice against ChiSox
Soto went 4-for-4 with a walk, two home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 6-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: The 25-year-old had his best game yet as a Yankee, taking Brad Keller deep in the first and fifth innings. It was Soto's first multi-hit performance, and first long balls, since May 8, and through 47 games on the season he carries a .317/.414/.561 slash line with 11 homers, four steals, 32 runs and 37 RBI. • Sitting down versus lefty
Kepler isn't in the Twins' lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Left-hander Logan Allen will toe the slab for Cleveland on Saturday, meaning the lefty-hitting Kepler will retreat to the bench. Manuel Margot will take over in right field and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 2:05 pm
